POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Former rower @tmacktmackk reflects on the reality of starting again in a new career: going from being at the top of your game to being the person learning, asking questions and building new skills from the ground up.

His biggest lesson? Consistency.

Not every training session goes to plan. Not every day at work will be your best. What matters is continuing to show up, learning from the difficult days and trusting that the work you put in will build over time.

That sporting mindset can be a huge asset beyond the pitch, court, track or water.

@tmacktmackk is already a hero to us but can he be Oxford's hero?

The Boat Race Documentary 2025: Ep 1 | "All Change" - Turning The Tide (2025) Oxford v Cambridge. Link in bio to watch.

First raced in 1829, The Boat Race is contested by the universities of Oxford and Cambridge along the Championship Course in London every spring. Students balance their studies with competing at an elite level as they compete for the right to wear Light Blue (Cambridge) and Dark Blue (Oxford). This year's Boat Race will be at 13.21 (women) and 14.21 (men) on Sunday 13 April 2025. by @tmacktmackk

Olympians Emma Twigg and Tom Mackintosh put each other in their place with some goodhearted banter at Boston’s Head of the Charles.

Watch Twiggy prepare for her single scull race at the hallowed Cambridge Boat Club, with Tom in tow.

At about 20yrs old @noel_donaldson and I were discussing if I saw myself competing at an elite level.

He says to me, “do you know who @drewginn is, if you don’t, you should look him up”
Looking up to Drew I thought, if he can do it, there must be some hope for me!

7 years later Drew and I were mucking around in the tank at the @oxfordunibc.
