Life tests us.
Growth transforms us.
Every challenge redirects our purpose. 🧿
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I walked into my 30s thinking I needed all the answers — the career nailed down, the love life sorted, the house, the timeline, the everything.

But the truth?

My first five years in this decade have been a roller coaster of lessons, growth, wins, and wild pivots.

And I wouldn’t trade any of it.

Your 30s aren’t about having it all figured out — they’re about discovering your purpose. About writing your own story without the pressure to make it look like anyone else’s.

For me, that’s looked like embracing the challenges, loving the messy middle, and celebrating every high as fiercely as I sit with the lows.

So here’s to the 30s: the real 30-flirty-and-thriving era.✨

Not because it’s perfect — but because it’s ours.

Wear the bold color. Chase the dream. Rewrite the rules.
This chapter is yours to create.

Four years later. Six best friends. Didn’t miss a beat. šŸ¤

Our last trip together was in 2022, but within minutes, we were right back, same laughter, same love, a few more stories to tell but all authentically… us.

Life moves fast. Plans get harder to make. We each weather storms the others can’t always see. But somehow, we always find our way back to each other.

There’s something special about being with people who know every version of you, and love the woman you’re becoming.

No matter the storms, we get through them together. No matter the time apart, we never miss a beat.

Here’s to making the trip, taking the pictures, and holding your people close. These are the moments we’ll wish we could live twice, & cherish forever.šŸ„‚āœØ

God brought you to me in November of 2013 & I’m blessed you followed me to the car as I was leaving the farm where you were born.

Oakley has been by my side through so many versions of me. The confident ones, the overwhelmed ones, and the ones who needed a little help getting back up.

She loves me the same through all of them.

I think that’s the lesson our dogs are here to teach us. You don’t have to know the perfect thing to say or have a solution for everything someone is going through. Sometimes you just need to stay close, love them, and remind them they’re not alone.

She has been teaching me through these 13-years of life that all we need to do is to love the people in our life a little more each day with no conditions.

She is my world and one of God’s greatest gifts to me. Maybe there’s a reason dog is God spelled backward. šŸ¤šŸ¾

A scene from Sunday’s episode of the military series Lioness stayed with me.

The team refused to accept any outcome other than bringing their leader home. Even those who didn’t always see eye to eye with her showed up without hesitation—and some showed up more fiercely than anyone else.

That is what real teamwork looks like.

It made me think about the people who have reminded me of my own strength throughout different seasons of my life, from my high school coach and teammates to the partner who sincerely supports and encourages me today.

In 2009, I was named a @washingtonpost All-Met honorable mention and a local First Team infielder for softball. My name may have appeared beside those honors, but the achievements were never mine alone.

My coach once helped pull me out of a rut and reminded me of the player I was capable of becoming. My teammates pushed me, trusted me, and stood beside m, and many of them remain some of my dearest friends today.

Those experiences shaped how I approach sales and leadership.

I may lead the relationship, but I never win alone.

My colleagues, technical experts, Microsoft counterparts, and partners aren’t simply supporting the team.

They are the team.

Trust means showing up. Being reliable. Communicating honestly. And sometimes, reminding someone of their strength when they need it most.

There was no ā€œIā€ in team then, and there never will be.

The recognition may carry one name. The success belongs to everyone. by @tmarie.dc

I’ve been doing a little moving and shaking lately… and apparently answering absolutely no one. šŸ˜‚

Between work, travel, friends, family and trying to squeeze in a life somewhere in between, my calendar and my notifications, have officially gotten out of control.

Busy, grateful and doing my best to keep all the plates spinning. If I owe you a call, text or email… consider this my formal apology.

I’m getting there! šŸ¤ taken in USA by @tmarie.dc

Some wounds are visible. Others are carried quietly.

This image hit me because, to me, it represents something we don’t talk about enough…

The version of you the world sees vs. everything it took to become that person & the continued evolution.

We show up.
We lead.
We smile.
We keep moving forward.

And behind that version of us holds rejection, heartbreak, failure, grief, disappointment, wrong turns, and lessons no one else will ever fully understand.

But here’s the difference… You can carry the scars without carrying the victim mentality.

Life is going to leave marks.

Some experiences will challenge you. Some will humble you. Some will force you to look in the mirror and recognize where you need to grow.

The goal isn’t to pretend the hard things didn’t happen.

It’s to learn from them.

Take accountability. Get curious. Adjust. Heal. Keep evolving.

The bandages aren’t something to hide. They’re reminders that you’ve been through something, learned something, and kept going.

I don’t want to look in the mirror and see someone untouched by life.

I want to see someone who has lived, learned, taken ownership, healed, and never stopped becoming.

Because there is always another lesson. Another level. Another version of ourselves waiting to be built. šŸ¤ taken in Washington D. C. by @tmarie.dc

Happy 13th Birthday to my girl, @miss.oaks.wood šŸ¤šŸ¾

This birthday feels a little different.

Just a month ago, we experienced one of the scariest moments of my life when Oakley had a 35-minute stroke/seizure. Thankfully, she hasn’t had another episode since, and every single day with her has felt like an even greater gift.

She’s been my constant through every season of life.

My hiking buddy, my road trip co-pilot, my shadow, my biggest comfort after hard days, and the one who somehow always knows when I need an extra cuddle.

I truly don’t know where I’d be without this sweet little girl.

So here’s to many more adventures together… more hikes, more puppy licks, more snuggles, more surprise zoomies, and of course… more Oakley lip looks + jerf. (If you know, you know. šŸ˜‚)

Happy Birthday to my ride or die. I love you more than you’ll ever know. ā¤ļøšŸ¶ by @tmarie.dc

People will see a dog.

I see my little girl.

She’s been by my side through every chapter; celebrating the highs, getting me through the lows, and reminding me every single day what unconditional love looks like.

She’s my biggest cheerleader, my adventure buddy, my daily reminder to slow down, and the first face I look for when I walk through the door.

Our 30s come with so much pressure.

Build the career.
Buy the house.
Get married.
Have children.
Do it all on someone else’s timeline.

But maybe it’s time we stop measuring our lives against someone else’s checklist.

Family looks different for everyone.
Love looks different for everyone.

For me, she’s family. She’s home. She’s my world. šŸ¤ by @tmarie.dc

250 years. One nation. One home. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

As a 5th-generation Washingtonian, this celebration means more to me than I can put into words. My family has called this city home for generations, and watching America celebrate 250 years right here in our nation’s capital is something I’ll never forget.

Today isn’t about politics. It’s about remembering the people, sacrifices, resilience, and freedoms that have shaped our country. It’s about family cookouts, friends, fireworks over the monuments, the roar of flyovers overhead, and the pride of seeing the American flag wave across the city I’ve always called home.

No matter where we come from or what paths we take, today we celebrate the story that connects us all.

Here’s to 250 years of courage, opportunity, and the enduring American spirit.

Happy America 250. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Intelligence ✨

You notice patterns & lies which start teaching you the game…

But sometimes you have to act naïve, & pretend you know nothing just to survive.

So the question is… is intelligence a blessing or a curse? taken in Chicago, Illinois, USA by @tmarie.dc
