Well…this is it. I finally graduated from ORU. This journey has been an incredible experience for me and the people I’ve met this year have made the closing of this chapter in my life so much sweeter. This Theatre department is my home, my family, and my treasure. The growth I’ve experienced from being here is immeasurable and it is all thanks to the people I’ve met along the way.

If there’s three things that the theater department has taught me, it is this:

1. Live in the hope and always have empathy for others. Everyone has something they are fighting for.
2. Vulnerability is not a weakness. It is my greatest strength.
3. Acting is having the courage to fail and try something new.

Where failure is condemned, dreams die. But where failure is cultivated, purpose prevails. And because of my teachers and classmates, I’m less afraid of failure and now my purpose feels more clear. I love and cherish each and every one of you so much. Thank you all for giving me a place to belong, a place to fail safely, and giving me a place where I can truly be myself and unashamed for it. And last but not least, thank you God for bringing me here. I couldn’t have made it through these four years without You.

Wow…just like that, summer is already over. I still can’t believe that I’ve been so blessed to serve in this ministry for the past three years.

I’m so blessed to have been able to serve on a team that is so rooted in the Word and fills my heart with so much wonder.
YT’26, thank you for being such an amazing family to me. This summer was hard, but all of you guys made every moment worth it.

To August, Opal, and Daisy, thank you for all of the lessons that you have taught me about standing on the truth of what the LORD says. The LORD has shown me through the three of you that seeing is *not* believing (John 20:29/Hebrews 11:1).
At the end of the day, my thoughts, my fears, my feelings, my emotions, and even my circumstances will lie to me, but what God says about me and what God promises me will last forever; even if I can’t see anything or feel anything at all (2 Corinthians 4:18/Isaiah 40:8). Thank you Lord, for helping me find so many truths in this beautiful story that I had the honor and privilege of telling. I will keep these lessons in my heart and mind and share them with others.

As this chapter of my life closes, this summer has been a beautiful reminder to be faithful to today and be hopeful for tomorrow. I’m still a little nervous, but I’m also so excited to see what God has next! Thank you @studentlifekidscamp , for allowing me to be a part of something so special and serve as 💪🏾𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰🐝𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧🎭 one last time.

This summer has been truly a blessing. I’ve been praying over this job, and for the chance to be an actor for YT for months and the LORD answered. I’ve grown in so many ways that I’ve needed to grow and it’s all thanks to God and the people He has surrounded me with. I am so honored to have been blessed with the opportunity to serve the church with the gifts God has given me as an actor. Yellow Team, you are my answered prayer, and one of my biggest blessings this year and I will always be thankful for you. Thank you for being my family. I love and cherish you all. It was honor to serve as 💪🏾The Yellow🐝Thespian🎭. Great is your faithfulness, LORD! This was the BEST SUMMER EVER!!! 🤙

As I was drifting off to sleep, I remembered how earlier today I was in a van and I was eating a delicious, very ripe banana (and I scarfed it down pretty quickly). Even after I had finished it, the effects were still there. Because of its mere presence, everyone could smell the banana because of how powerful a banana’s smell (and taste) is. In a similar way, the LORD began to show me about how the peace of God in our lives can have a similar effect on those around us if we cultivate and produce peace and make a culture of it, which resulted in me making this late-night post. Just as the yields of fruit are considered natural produce, the yields of the Fruits of the Spirit are considered spiritual produce. Peace is a product. It is something we are command, expected and bound to make more of in abundance if we are filled with His Spirit, and ultimately, share with others. Peace and tranquility were never something we were meant to keep to ourselves; we were meant to make it so that others might experience it. And if God was so gracious to give His peace to us, who are we not to share that same peace with the world? Let this be an encouragement to not keep peace, but to make peace and create opportunities for the world to taste His peace. Because let’s be real, this world needs His peace more than ever. 😭🙏🏾

Three camps down, only 10 to go! It has been awesome watching the Lord move and seeing kids go from death to life! Serving with these guys is a blast! Can’t wait to see what happens next!

I totally agree with submitting your will to the LORD and letting His will be done in our lives. But just because we’re submitting our desires to Him doesn’t always mean that God won’t let us have the desires of our heart. Having wants is not a bad thing. They are only bad when you want those things more than you want God. If you don’t get the thing that you wanted, that’s not God failing you; it’s Him preparing you for something even greater. Your feelings and your wants matter to the LORD because the LORD is a Good Father. Trust God with the things you want and leave them in His hands. Don’t be anxious. Stop worrying. He has good plans for you (Psalm 23). Trust that He’s got you covered. You are His child and He is your Dad. You make Him smile and He wants to see you smile. Embrace that. 🫶🏾💛

Quick little recap of 2025!

January: Started my Spring Semester!

February: First Collegiate Lead Role: The Play That Goes Wrong!

March: Got my acceptance letter for @studentlifekidscamp !

April: First Collegiate Musical Solo: ♪ All Good Gifts (Godspell)!

May: Finished Junior Year & Started my second year with SLKC (YT’25: Psalm 115:1)!

June: Turned 21!!!

July: Made it on a Flex Cam at a baseball game!

August: Got my first car & started Senior Year!

September: Made my collegiate debut as a voice actor: Leveling Up!

October: YT’25 reunion, completed my last Fall show at ORU, and got an acceptance letter for United Professional Theatre Auditions!

November: I directed my first show (Talley’s Folly) and it was a huge success!

December: Reconnected and hung out with childhood friends!

If I could tag more people in this post, I would. This year had a LOT of hard moments both mentally and spiritually, but God has been faithful. So thankful for the memories the LORD has blessed me to make and people that he has placed into my life. This year would not be the same without you guys. You are not in competition with anyone in this life, only yourself. Don’t compare your shortcomings to other people’s achievements. Comparing yourself to another person is like comparing an apple to an orange. They’re both fruits, but they offer different nutrients that both nourish the human body and help it to thrive. They work in harmony, not in competition. They both complement one another.

In Hebrews 12:1 and 2 Timothy 4:7, Paul talks about running the race of endurance that is set before us. Everyone’s race is and will look different from yours. But…

*the goal isn’t always to be first to the end. Sometimes the goal is to be faithful to the end.*

Focus on you and finish what you have started like you said you would.
