There was a time in @tmn2__ life not too long ago where we would make plans to meet up and eat. We’d sit down and order our food and after maybe 30 min, with Mitchells hair and face dripping with sweat, he’d say he was done and had to leave.

Although I was grateful we were able to be together, I wanted more time but I knew why he got up and left and where he was going. Me myself would leave the restaurant discouraged but I knew this was the norm. Each time this happened I’d tell myself “I want my son back.”

To be sitting across the table looking at a man I helped raise, to see him in that condition, sweat pouring and the suffering in his eyes, each visit was heartbreaking to watch.

Which leads me to this post. You see Mitchell in the picture, in a room full of people who love and care about him, including me! He’s not in a rush! No sweat, no nervousness, skin smooth as silk! He’s suffering no more! Do you know how this makes me feel?!

Now when my phone rings from an unknown number I’m not as nervous to answer fearing it’s going to be a call similar to the one I received on 11/17/21.

Mitchell knows his strength, he knows what awaits him if he continues on this path of prosperity! I encourage him every single day to stay focused, HUMBLE, and TRUST IN GOD!

So on the 106th day of Mitchell being sober, and on the heels of his sister Alyssa’s heavenly birthday, I thank God and all of you for believing in him!

Keep it going son! I love you! 💜 Do it for Alyssa and do it for YOU! taken in North Little Rock, Arkansas by @tmn2__
