Mr. & Mrs. Simmons loading… and I still can’t believe I get to say that❤️💍‼️

I don’t think you’ll ever fully understand how much I love you…You are home to me. You are the person I want to come back to, talk to, laugh with, build with, grow with, and do life with. And the truth is, life just wouldn’t feel like life without you in it. For every day I’m blessed to be here, I’m going to keep choosing you. I’m going to love you, stand beside you, be there for you, and keep building with you through every version of life we get to experience together. I think about everything we still have ahead of us and it genuinely makes me emotional. The home, the memories, the goals, the family, the random laughs, the hard days we’ll get through, the beautiful days we haven’t even lived yet. I want all of it with you. You’re not just the woman I love. You’re the woman I want beside me for the rest of my life.

And to everybody who helped make this day what it was, thank you. For helping, planning, showing up, keeping the secret, celebrating us, and pouring love into the moment, I’ll never forget it. Better people before better players. That’s always going to be the heart of what we do. We want the kids getting stronger, more skilled, more confident and making better decisions on the court, but we care even more about who they are becoming away from it. Cycle A starts October 17 and the focus is Accountability, helping them learn how to own their choices, take correction, keep their word, make things right when they fall short and become somebody others can count on. Basketball gives us a place to work on those things in real time, but we want that growth to follow them home, into school and everywhere else they go. We care about the player, but we care about the kid first. 🐺🏀

You can be winning and still not be getting better💯

The score wasn’t the point today. We wanted our DAWGs learning how to bring the best out of each other.

Talking, Listening, and Picking each other up. Hold each other accountable.

If the person next to you gets better because of you, that’s a win too.

🤔Who shows up when your emotions get strong? 🐺💙

As we wrap up our first cycle on Discipline, this is what we’ve been working on with our DAWGs.

You’re going to get mad. You’re going to get frustrated. You might be nervous, hurt or disappointed. That’s normal.

But when those feelings hit, who do you want to be in that moment?

You can feel it without letting it control you.

That’s discipline. That’s growth. 🐾
