Boyfriend material 😎 (Spartan’s version)

#nythc by @tmtuki

As a painter, there is a joyous swell in my heart knowing that my skill is constantly evolving and that my experiences feed said growth. However, there also lies a quiet sadness that pools in my stomach. It’s a sore hurt that throbs at the thought of my innocence slowly seeping out of my body. I am growing at the cost of my childhood innocence withering away. There is no longer wonder, but the empty place in which wonder laid, something else must take it’s place

Love you lil one <3

The nails are a vibe.
But they are also the work.
Every month, I choose a local artist.
My nail tech turns their work into wearable art.

Artist statement: “No comment” by @tmtuki

An unspoken dialogue about Black American perception, between two artists from two different generations.

Being picked to create a piece for Define Yourself was…different. I mean I was excited because it meant that I could have a voice, but it was terrifying because I finally had one. Most of my paintings (while still having a message) were flat because I was painting for the people instead of painting for the sake of the people. So, I painted. However, it wasn't because I wanted to impress anyone, but so I could start a conversation.

Have these conversations. by @tmtuki
