Today, I got to share my love of hiking with my son. We went to Twin Falls and he got to experience the beauty of God’s Creation firsthand. I got to watch him explore, climb rocks and yell “I’m King of the World!”, find his own walking stick, throw rocks in the over the ledge, and never once complained about the trail but instead kept saying “let’s keep going Daddy!”

I hope I am able to share more trails with him as he grows older and more capable to handle the longer distances. Today was an incredible blessing and a milestone in raising my son. I’m beyond proud and pray for many more days like today!

Last week marks my last overnight hike for 2025. A good, cold return to Hobbs Cabin with some good friends and a righteous fire. Couldn’t have asked for better. I look forward to more trails to explore in the New Year!

South Rim was a WILD trip. Torrential Rain, Continuous Thunder & Lightning for over an hour, and a personal hiking record of over a half marathon in a single day’s hike. Memories have definitely been made.

My goal for 2025 is almost complete: To hike the entire trail system of Savage Gulf. My only trail left is the North Plateau Trail.

Happy 4th Anniversary! It was so much fun getting Carrie out Backpacking for the first time. And she did awesome! 7ish Miles Round trip, @peakrefuel for every meal, and good weather made for an awesome trip.

Hiked to Hobbs Cabin with a crew of 7 this weekend. Had an awesome time getting rained on, staying up till midnight playing Mafia & Psychiatrist, and hiking my longest distance (Yet).
