Had a chance to work with @toad_tapes products today, including their Tape & Drape, and I have to say… I’m genuinely impressed.
We started an exterior project today, and the products were quick to apply, easy to work with, and made masking much faster.
As a decorator, I really appreciate tools that save time without compromising the finish, and these definitely did that.

I’ll definitely be using them again. If you haven’t tried them yet, I’d recommend giving them a go—I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 💚🐸

Got kindly sent out a new product last week from a new company called Toadtapes 🐸.
Wanted to see how they stacked up against some of the big trusted brands in the game… and honestly, I was impressed 👌.

Still need to put their floor protection through its paces, but so far I’d definitely back them. Will keep you all updated 👀

Not a normal job for me! 1 gave it a go!

Step 1 cut out the damaged plaster, try to find the joists (if not cut some wood and place between the cut in the ceiling 50/50 split so if you have a 4x2 make sure its 2 inches under the new board and old.

Step 2 measure a new peice of plaster board and cut to size, mark the joists and where your battons are, make sure you push wires out the way, check for any pipes then screw in place! Use drywall screws ( they are black 1 inch)

Step 3 try and shave abit if the artex so the scrim tape is in but not making a bulky edge, use scrim tape. Slightly lower then the original artex.

Step 4 make sure to use a stainblock to stop the water damage coming through your filler and paint ( it will)

Step 5 mix your filler, i used toupret and I used a platic bag to try mimic the original pattern of the artex ( horrible its a lose, lose! You would need to use artex and the exact same equipment they used) so we did our best

Step 6 prime the filler with a suitable primer, let it dry then paint 2 coats over the top! Re stick the wallpaper, caulk it! Then make sure you use stain block.

Job done
