7 years without you, but a lifetime of being your twin. 🤍

I’ve learned that this day doesn’t always have to be about mourning your absence, but celebrating the beautiful impact your presence left on this world and everyone lucky enough to know you.

Ugochi was always the creative one. She had a gift for storytelling, video editing, and bringing ideas to life. She was always pushing me to be better, dream bigger, and believe in myself. Sometimes I wonder if she ever knew just how much of who I am today started with her.

I genuinely don’t think I’d be where I am today without her influence. So much of what I love, what I create, and what I continue to work toward has a little piece of her in it.

But beyond her creativity, she was the warmest, most loving person. My built-in best friend, my other half, and the person I could tell absolutely anything to. There’s something so special about the bond between twins that’s hard to put into words, and even harder to explain when one is no longer here.

Seven years later, I’m still learning how to navigate life without her physically beside me. Some days are harder than others, but her memory has taught me to take life one day at a time. Whenever I feel like giving up on my dreams, I think about her and remember why I started.

I wish she could see everything I’m becoming. I wish she knew how much of her still lives through me.

Today, I choose to celebrate her. Her laughter, her kindness, her creativity, and the love she gave so freely.

Seven years later, I’m still your twin. Still your biggest fan. Still carrying a little bit of you everywhere I go.

Forever us against the world, Ugochi. 💚
