The little bridge

It’s maybe a 7 minute walk from my house to this skinny little bridge that joins Nj to Pa
Always takes me 20 as I run into a friend or two…

They decided it was time to invest in rebuilding it: getting it up to code, double checking and girding every connection… using thinner, stronger modern steel buttresses, widening the lanes and the pedestrian walkway… even adding in discrete couched led lighting that can turn every color of the spectrum

It’s gonna be really nice. The tradesmen have worked so diligently & consistently on it that I believe they’ll hit their September goal of about 8 months

It’s a really nice bridge to stand on. It’s amusing to walk across because it feels kinda heavy to cross a state line- but at the same time it’s a fickle thing made up entirely by somebody just drew a line in the water, so it feels light too

I can’t wait to walk across this bridge again soon. Any time a friend visits? I am compelled to share the experience by @toberdave

But I do know that I feel a compelling responsibility to communicate something.
I feel the need to reach out to each and every human being I’ve met in the last 50 years,

human needs should be met. And when we band together as one people, we strive to create institutions and entities that strive to meet our
Human Needs

And if there’s ever a commonality and a connective tissue? It’s our mortal universal needs.
