A year of saying yes to the trip, the job, the film, the tattoo, and myself. Somehow, the sum is a great fucking life.

It’s not without heartbreak and pain. But it’s never with regret.

A dream job. Endless side quests. So many movies. An abundance of amazing people in my life. An absurd amount of gratitude.

For the last 9 years, I’ve made Los Angeles my home. ⁣
⁣
I’ll admit it - Sometimes, I forget where I came from. Sometimes, I get a little elated when people think that I’m from Los Angeles. Sometimes, I felt too good and too big for my hometown….⁣
⁣
But, the truth is, I spent the first 18 years of my life there. I was raised by strong women, the view of the trees from our house, by Balboa, by Zips, by the community, and by people who would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. My lifelong friends and my family still call it home. And now, so many lost their homes and their entire livelihood. It’s not a big place, so what people who haven’t been there might not understand is what is happening in Spokane is devastating. ⁣
⁣
Sometimes we (lovingly) joke that Spokane sucks. But the truth is, I’m so happy I was raised there. It made me strong, it gave me the best people, it made me grateful for where I am today.
To those dealing with so much loss and fear and pain, I’m so sorry.

To those who have never been through this, please be prepared. Stay safe. Stay alive. You never think it could happen to your home.
