''Connected in Silence''
297 × 420 mm
In a quiet moment, she holds her phone close, unaware that every connection carries more than just a voice. The Neuroweb spreading across the phone represents the invisible network between people the memories, emotions, and thoughts that travel through technology.
Though the world feels distant, the unseen threads remind us that we are never truly disconnected. by @tobilistik

The boy with the peg with NeuroWeb ...
The pattern resembles a network of connected cells or neurons.
This piece is part of my NeuroWeb series.
It symbolizes:

Connected thoughts.
Human consciousness.
Memory networks.
Creativity spreading through the mind.
Invisible connections between people and ideas.❤️ by @tobilistik

The boy’s name was Daniel, and the peg was placed there long before he understood what pain meant.

Every morning, adults adjusted it carefully, as if it belonged to him. They told him to stand straight, smile properly, behave perfectly. “This is normal,” they said. “Everyone has something that keeps them in line.”

But Daniel hated the peg.

It pressed into his skin, distorted his face, and made every expression look strained. When he cried, people laughed because the peg made his tears look theatrical. When he smiled, it looked painful. So eventually, he stopped trying to express anything at all.
Behind him, the world exploded into color — sharp triangles of expectation and pressure. Red for judgment. Black for control. Yellow for fear. Blue for isolation. The colors boxed him in like shattered glass, beautiful from a distance but dangerous up close.

The peg became a symbol of obedience.

People praised him for carrying it without complaint.

“You’re so strong.”
“So disciplined.”
“So composed.”

But they never asked how heavy it was.

One day Daniel realized something horrifying:
the peg had been attached for so long that people no longer saw it. They only saw him through it.

That was the moment he screamed.

The expression in the artwork captures that exact second — not physical pain, but the agony of realizing you’ve been shaped by something forced into you by the world. The twisted face, the clenched eyes, the uncomfortable smile: it’s the moment between endurance and rebellion.

And yet, despite everything, he does not remove the peg.

Because after living with suffering long enough, people begin to fear who they are without it.

So the portrait remains frozen:
a child dressed neatly,
a face caught between laughter and pain,
and a single peg piercing through identity itself while the world watches in color.❤️ by @tobilistik
