Art, Chess, Culture, memories and Brotherhood.
Some moments don’t need much explaining — they simply need to be remembered.
Honoured to share a beautiful moment with my mentor @tunde_onakoya surrounded by creativity, heritage and good energy. From the threads we wear to the stories we tell, we carry culture forward. #chess #painting #chesspriest #chessmaster #art taken in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria by @tobisawchess

There are Flowers that bloom at dusk, and this painting is dedicated to them. Yes I mean the strong women choosing to burn a toxic marital bridge or whatever stereotypical bridges... I hope you find the strength to choose yourself and be at peace to truly live.

Showing this piece on Sunday, hope to see you there! by @tobisawchess

Art is not just something I look at. It's a language I have chosen to speak.
Every day, I get the privilege of telling stories, connecting people with art and experiencing the beauty of creativity from a different perspective.
Still learning. Still creating. Still becoming.

To have an artist I deeply respect, Mr. Dotun Popoola, accept my invitation to my debut solo exhibition is an honour I do not take lightly.

His work, his journey, and his contribution to the African art landscape are deeply inspiring to me. To now have him be part of this milestone in my own artistic journey feels incredibly special.

Thank you Sir, @dotundavid_popoola, for receiving my invitation with such warmth. It means more than I can put into words.

And a special thank you to @fitilahomefragrance for helping us make the invitation itself an experience. I loved watching him notice and appreciate the scent because that is exactly what we hoped for.

This is only the beginning.

Dear friends, Art lovers, artists and distinguished members of the public. This is my official invitation to my First Solo Art Exhibition! It's something I have been dreaming about since I embrace art as my career path.

"May the Bridges I Burn Light My Path" is not just a body of work it is the evidence of my deepest understanding about growth

I am using the pieces in this series to challenge the common idea that "burning bridges" is always negative...

Rather than representing recklessness, the burning bridge becomes a metaphor for necessary endings, moments where we relinquished familiar paths to create the conditions for growth, clarity, and renewal.

I hope to have this conversation in full with you at the opening! See you soon...
