Using my collegiate countertenor voice training for the appropriate purposes 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️- this is maybe the most niche, camp performance thing I’ve ever done and I wouldn’t have it any other way… than acting an absolute fool🤣🥰-“An Undertale & Deltarune Variety Show” last Sunday was so so special! I’ll save my greater sentiments for when I post some more photos, but seeing the community all together made my heart happy in ways I couldn’t possibly have imagined.💕💕💕-A huge thank you to the wonderful team at @wondervillenyc for having us, to my co-producer and bestie @djguilty_pleasures, to our lovely cast who absolutely devoured their numbers, and to everyone who showed up and made the night one to remember! For the emotional little boy who grew up with the Crystal Gems 🥹⭐️💕🎹:@aidanswells🎥: @laurvcnycdigital-I just moved into my new apartment last week and I’ve been feeling emo about starting a new chapter in my life post-grad🥺🥺. From the people I’ve gone to school with over the past four years, to the nightlife family I’m making, to new friends and old reconnections- I’ve never been more scared for what’s next but also more grateful for the people in my life 🥰.-While you may be used to seeing the glitz and glam of my performances, the less showy and more vulnerable side is just as important to who I am as a performer. Meet our groovalicious crew for the live band of “Slayin’ Alive: A Disco Drag Show!” at Sugar Mouse NYC! Joining them is lead singer Toast, featuring guest vocalists Scissorella and Sasha Curvy! Lead by Dewey Huang (guitar), our band includes Juno Sugiarto (Keys/Synth), Lance Onodera (Bass), Jose Urrea (Drums), Annie Etkin (BGV), and Frankie Snyder (BGV). Pirates of Penzance ll April 2026 🏴‍☠️💋⚔️First opera ✅First time crossdressing for theater ✅First countertenor role ✅Last fully staged NYU show 🫪-Director: Jonathan EatonMusic Director: Joshua RosenblumAssociate Director/Choreographer: Kate Semmens @katehsemmens -I will be forever grateful to have been a part of this crazy, campy show and to have gotten the opportunity to portray the icon Ruth herself. Getting to play a unique interpretation of this part less than a year into my countertenor training was such an amazing learning experience I will never forget. I don’t think I’ve ever been as nervous or excited for a show before, but I’m so proud of how it turned out!-I want to thank the creative team for trusting me and working with me to bring my version of Ruth to life, the rest of the cast for all the collaboration, joy, and comradery we shared, and all my backstage divas for everything they do to keep the gears turning and all of us safe! I want to give a special shoutout to our other Ruth, @gracefoulsham, for always being there to lean on, chat with about our anxieties, and just generally such a great friend throughout the entire process 🥰🥰. However, I think the biggest thank you of all has to go to my incredible voice teacher, @chriscitera, for believing in me from the moment I wanted to audition for this part, and for helping me figure out how to approach and interpret the role in my voice without an example to replicate!
