@arianagrande has had a knack for releasing exactly the kind of music i’ve needed to hear for as long as she’s been around. the ‘eternal sunshine’ album (especially ‘we can’t be friends’) took that to a whole new level. when the tour was first announced, i knew i had to go and i knew it had to be in london.

just over two years ago, on the very last morning of my previous europe trip, i sat by the tower of london and journaled about how i was turn things around again once i got home after the hardest year of my entire life. ‘we can’t be friends’ was on repeat the entire time i sat there as i’ve never had a song or music video encapsulate the thoughts and feelings i was having at the time as perfectly as that song did.

something must have truly shifted that morning as it’s incomprehensible just how beautiful and amazing my life has become since then. i’m surrounded by so much love, laughter, and joy every second of my life now that i’m left scratching my head as to how i got so lucky to be living it in the first place. there is so much to be happy and grateful for.

coming back to london after my life has changed in ways i never thought possible, and hearing those same songs live while now at the highest point in my life (thus far!), all while feeling more like myself than i have ever before … i genuinely cannot put into words what that meant to me. what a perfect way to close the door on one chapter of my life and step into a new one.
