Doc photos with everybody’s favorite witches.

I picked up The Witches Of Mondale series as a 17-year-old, terrified the account through @mybiggaybooktour (which they’re incredible, check them out.) It was one of the first reviews I ever posted, which entails that it was messy and chaotic, and I had no fucking clue how to write a review.

I had all the wrong words and expressions. I had no idea how to vocalize that these characters felt like family, that the lovely @lou.wilham seemed to perfectly incapsulate the feeling of being queer in a small town through metaphors about ghosts and witchcraft, so I just rambled with all the words I could find.

This series is coming to an end with the release of book 4 (October 28th) and I wish I could say something charming about how I’ve perfected the art of writing reviews … unfortunately not the case. But I will honestly insist that this series has been a pillar in my life.

At 17 I didn’t have all the words I wanted. Now I can talk about pulling on a jacket with cut thumb holes makes me think of Rus, or how I’ve rambled at dinner to my poor friend who asked me a basic question, or even my brother teasing me for wearing a character t-shirt to pride.

It’s been such an honor to witness this story, and to be held by these characters. It was a blessing from the start, and I am forever grateful to have been permitted to follow this journey. by @tobyrambles

I’m screaming!!!! Look what just came in the mail from @cursedmorsels the art on the cover is so gruesomely stunning. (This photo isn’t doing it justice but it’s mesmerizing with this vintage style.)

Thank you thank you thank you to cursed morsels. Truly my favorite anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, publishing press. by @tobyrambles

Happy release day to this beautiful atrocity of a book!!

Under A Malevolent Eye is the kind of fantastically disgusting commentary you can’t get out of your head. Short stories about fascist governments, the elimination of choice, and what it means to survive and love under a system meant to control you.

From authors Megan Kane, Charlene Elsby, Joe Koch, Cynthia Gómez, Briar Ripley Page, Eric Raglan, Zin E. Rocklyn, and Mae Murray, are some of the most disturbing and vividly described horrors I’ve had the pleasure of trying to scrape out of my head since.

I want to thank @cursedmorsels again and again for this release, and encourage anyone reading this to go hype them up on release day. It’s not easy being a small publisher, especially one so insistent on uplifting the voices of everybody being systematically silenced. by @tobyrambles

Where all my romantic horror fans at?? @lou.wilham has just dropped another wonderful novel, and I’d like somebody else to rave about it with.

Synopsis!!

Like a devil on a deadline.
Every minute is one step closer to the deadline the necromancer put on Eric Marcelino’s life, and he’s struggling to care. The only thing worth fighting for, worth surviving for, is Tony and Hunter. But is that enough? Even Eric isn’t sure anymore. Still, he plans to go along for the ride. One last adventure before the After drags him back.
Tony never saw himself as the type to use the L word. Caring that much for anyone besides his sister always seemed a recipe for disaster. And yet… Eric has wormed his way under Tony’s skin. Now, with Eric’s life hanging in the balance, Tony is beginning to realize that maybe he’s a lot closer to using that word than he ever expected. Not about just Eric, either.

 REVIEW:
Guys. I know it becomes repetitive when I say this about every book in this series, but the truth always bares repeating! Owwww. This book hit in the queer heart. These characters who feel a constant need to prove themselves worthy of every turn, and soak up every drop of affection before it’s recalled.

If you’re torn between hopeless romanticism and the frequent ā€œsolving mental health with kissingā€ trope in novels, I cannot recommend this series enough. The characters are messy, mentally ill, and contiosuly choosing to better themselves and fight for a softer more loving world. by @tobyrambles

If this terribly edited image made you stop for a second I beg you to check out the wonderful paranormal series by @lou.wilham.

Everything from cool witchy women, middle aged men with an abundance of issues (who find a way to communicate to despite), and terribly enduring puns. These books are one of the greatest forms of queer joy. by @tobyrambles

OUT TODAY!!!! GORE POETICS BY SAMIR SIRK MORATÓ!!!

I couldn’t wait to share the art from Samir. These visuals are seriously the cherry on top of one horrifically stunning book.

Holy shit y’all. This book has the most sickening, icky, all around disgusting short stories I’ve ever read.

If you’re a weirdo looking for sensory first short stories, and revolting language I have such a book for you.

Complete with a considerate and back list of content warnings placed in the back, and lovingly inclusive atrocities.

Thank you a thousand times over to @cursedmorsels for sending this out. You guys are icons. (Please check them out if you haven’t already!!) by @tobyrambles

When you’re in a writing a ghost hunting, polyship centered, academic-esque, and somehow hilarious novel and your competition is @lou.wilham.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS OUT!!!

Depression curing bisexual disasters, chaos, and arguably one of the world’s cutest polycules.

After Beatrice ā€œBatā€ Hernan’s expulsion from Wynter’s Eve Institute she washed her hands of the world of magical academia, and she thought it had done the same to her. She’s spent the last several years building a small business, solving hauntings, and generally keeping to herself. The last thing she expects is to get a job she literally can’t refuse from the institution that expelled her.

Valeska Dracon is a 200-year-old permanent student with a disturbing amount of advanced degrees, and no desire to leave the safety of academia. So when the funding for her department is in danger, and her mentor offers her a way to help, she takes it—however reluctantly.
Jace Elwood—yes, those Elwoods—prefers the party scene to hitting the books. How did he get dragged into this mess, you ask? Well, he was clearly thinking with the wrong head. After months of drooling over Valeska in secret, he’s offered the chance to accompany her on an expedition, and act as her personal juice box. He’d be a fool not to take it, right?
With deadly haunts, killer spirits, and a shady benefactor looming over them, these three might dig up more than just cursed objects.

The Tombmates duet is a companion duet to Lou Wilham’s Bay of the Dead ā€˜verse books. It is set in the same world, but not in any of the towns of the main set of books. While it will feature appearances by other characters from the Bay of the Dead ā€˜verse it is not necessary to have read the other books to understand this duet.

And if you have not started the Bay of The Dead ā€˜verse what are you doing with your free time? Spend it better. by @tobyrambles
