Here’s my attempt to express how the outgoing year was for me. 2022 was more of a transitioning year for me. I moved to Canada for school in April, and mehn! For me, it wasn’t the easiest thing at the beginning. I got scammed while looking for an apartment and I had to move places four times for different reasons. In fact, I remember moving in to a place I thought was finally gonna be permanent until one Sunday morning, while preparing for church, the landlord at the time called me and told me I had to move out after just barely two weeks. To say I cried is an understatement I crode. I sat in church, just wondering what I was doing wrong or wasn’t doing. I did my best to hide, but the lady sitting beside me saw me and offered me a tissue. At this point, I stopped caring too much about goals and was just focused on surviving the year. I mean, I got a word that I was coming here, but I guess that didn’t negate the fact that difficult times would come. As I journeyed, here are a few lessons I learned: 1. Things started to get easier when I dwelt on the seemingly little things. Those things I forgot. Like how I got my part time job from a conversation with my classmate. Like how for some reason, the rent for all these apartments I moved into just kept getting lower and I was able to save more. For me, this was a huge deal. Always write down your testimonies btw. 2. There’s no point running from God regarding purpose. Just align. For months, I feared this particular thing was the reason for my coming here, so I stopped praying about it. And then few months ago, my dreams started to connect like the MCU. I started getting series of dreams, all pointing to this thing. So I gave up and asked God to do what he wanted to do. Even though i might not be entirely sure, I learned to keep pressing in prayer. I might not get everything all at once and that’s fine. study and read up contents about whatever God has laid in my heart. In the place of preparation, clarity comes. Also, it’s God who has called me so fear should be removed. I look forward to the possibilities that next year holds. Transiting to another country is really not the easiest of things. At least for me, it wasn't for anyway. The more this trip edged closer, the more I knew I needed a temporary getaway, and it was everything I hoped for and more. Good vibes, building new friendship, visiting sights. Went on my first zip lining by the way. Definitely doing bungee jumping next 😅 Shout out to my BBN housemates @mzdee_phollu @ben__robstark @dele.nkeonye @tixels @deola_ @pegbamars @daybohlar @iwu_ese_ter @its.ati Last weekend was well worth it. #explore #canada #explorecanada #montreal by @tobywojuola
You might have often heard the phrase, "seeing is believing". That might be true, in a certain context. However, in our kingdom, we believe even before we see (2 Cor 5:7). Everything that we see has been produced by what we can't see, and all you can see is not all that there is. We would be limiting ourselves, as well as the possibilities of the spirit through us (Eph 3:20) Feelings are too fickle and wavering, that is why we must stand on the word of God. It's by believing that we know we are forever saved and we have been adopted into God's lineage( Jhn 3:16, Rom 8:15). Same goes for our devotional life. If you decide to study the word or pray based on how you feel, you'll never come around to do it. I'd say it's an act of faith when you move regardless of your feelings. So, whenever you feel like you've lost your way, or God seems far from you, remind yourself about what the word of God has said about you. Is it your sin? He said he will not remember them(Isa 43:25). The prodigal son felt his father will not accept him back, but the father ran to him to hug him. That's our father in heaven!! You're not an ordinary man. Never be moved by what you see or feel. You might think your mistakes have made the holy spirit leave you, but thats a lie. You may not feel like it, but he is always there. Get yourself a piece of @mrfenbrand clothings by @tobywojuola
