Some time ago, my dad gifted me this vase of tulip bulbs. Over the past few days, they've been blooming! As a matter of fact, I'm surprised by how fast they bloomed. With plants like trees, bushes, and fruit stems taking months or even years to reach full maturity, the speed at which flowers mature is a pleasant surprise. Although, it's a shame that they die just as fast as they bloom. In the next few days, these flowers will be looking pretty bleak. But, that's life, however fast it may be. taken in College Station, Texas by @today.w.ash

Most days, while I can commute from my apartment to campus without a vehicle, I park in the west campus garage so I can comfortably skate around without having to surmount the huge hill between such. From the garage are two ramps leading down to this tunnle. While it just may be a commute route for modt people, I have come to enjoy this tunnel a lot for it's vibe. Every now and then, my skate group comes down here to hang out and just cruise around or do tricks. Most other days, I skate down the ramp going at speeds I don't usually reach anywhere else. I'd consider myself lucky I have had yet to fall down while skating down the ramp. taken in Texas A&M University by @today.w.ash

I've always noticed that birds are very communal creatures. Of course, most to all animals are, but birds in particular are more communal than average from what I've observed. In some ways they can even be compared to humans very closely. Let's just hope they don't have our tendency of stubbornness and make a revolution against the humans, haha. taken in College Station, Texas by @today.w.ash

While I was working on some homework with some classmates on the second floor at brookshire brother's, it dawned on me that seeing an arial view of a supermarket is not really a common sight. We spend our lives walking walking these isles while never even seeing them above eye level.

There really isn't any lesson or important thought from this, I just found it interesting to see something from a different perspective than we usually do. by @today.w.ash

Last semester, I avoided staying on campus during afternoons and evenings. Mainly I dislike evening classes even more than early morning classes. I just like having my afternoons and evenings free for other activities that the day may present. Now, during this semester, I'm staying late practically every day, both for classes and homework. However, I'm not as unhappy with it as I thought I'd be. Sunsets and night views are some of my favorite natural gifts and, with my attempts at an active and spontaneous lifestyle, don't always get to enjoy them. This moment particularly reminds me of that. taken in Texas A&M University by @today.w.ash

I got a new computer! For the last six or seven years now, I had been doing all my pc work and gaming on a small HP prebuilt. While it still works perfectly fine, thanks to some hardware upgrades over the years, the hardware wasn't compatible with a Windows 11 upgrade, leading to it not necessarily being obsolete, but just no longer supported with the times. The cool part is that I got this pc for about half it's shelf price, so it's nice to score a good deal on already expensive hardware. As for the old pc, I just gave it to my sister Grace. taken in College Station, Texas by @today.w.ash

This was taken from the connecting hallway between Evans Library and Evans Annex. These past few days, I've been spending a lot of my time in the libraries just working and studying. Every now and then, I go square eyed and need a walking break. Most of those times, because of how large these libraries are, I wander into somewhere new. For instance, I had practically forgotten that this was here. In the few minutes I spent here, just hanging out, I grew curious and considered the physics and curation of connecting hallways like these. taken in Texas A&M University by @today.w.ash

Tonight we say SIX at Bass Hall! Admittedly, I came into the show knowing nothing of what it was about. I found it really interesting that it did not follow conventional musical norms. For that, I mean that the six lead characters were also the only characters, with no backup dancers or side characters. Along with that, it was purely storytelling with no props or settings. And yet, despite the minimal use of materials that other musicals budget for, it was still a very cool experience! taken in Bass Performance Hall by @today.w.ash

Visiting home for the weekend and we're finally getting some spring rain! I've probably mentioned on daiky posts before, but I cannot repeat enough how nice the rain is. Especially in an area that doesn't get it as often as many other parts in the nation. Certainly means that the greenery is soon to return as well. As much as I love the winter, my least favorite thing about it is how most nature decides to lose its color. by @today.w.ash

Since I've started climbing, it's been a really fun active outlet for me. I'm not afraid to admit, outside of running and cardio, I am not athletic or impressively strong. Not that I'm unhappy with that, just that I don't actively keep myself in shape. I imagine, among other reasons, it's difficult for me to exercise without it being like an activity with a goal like 'this many pounds with this many reps.' With climbing, I have a challenge that requires physical conditioning and muscle building, both of which is achieved through less intermediate routes! taken in Stone Co. Climbing by @today.w.ash

I found this small outdoor lounge on campus a short while ago and have found it a nice place just to have some outdoor relax time. What sets it apart is that it's outside of foot traffic areas and the grass mounds, albeit artificial, give the nice touch of organic feeling and scenery. Makes me want to eventually try this with real dirt and grass. By that I mean a supporting foundation so that it doesn't weather away and shape it into something like a beanbag. I'll have to keep it in mind when I have free will over a yard! taken in Texas A&M University by @today.w.ash
