The anticipation anxiety from know what the future was bringing hit hard this day. It was very hard to stay in the moment to give my boy the best last day we could. Im glad a cart I had came in handy to help make it all happen. He got to go on a little trail to see some horses which perked him right on up cause he’s a crazy boy.He got to go for his car rides which he always loved, except when he would get car sick. He got to eat eat and eat what ever he wanted, burgers and beef were top on his list. We did a walky which used to trump anything and everythjng but this time it was a pully I guess. He got to spend his last full day outside to take in all the sounds and warmth of his family and nature. Waking up and not having you here hurts baby boy, love you miss you stinky 😢❤️ #nanook #dogphotography #mansbestfriend #capturethemoment #missingyoualways by @todayunknown

Very hard day, my old boy Nanook went peacefully at 9:53am this morning at just under 13years of age. I wish I had more time with him, I wasn’t ready for him to go but I don’t think I would have ever been ready for him to leave. These years went far too quick and your time in our new home was far too short. One of the hardest things I have ever had to do. But he went at home and in my lap, wouldn’t want it to have happened any other way. My brain keeps playing the what ifs or the should a would a could a stuff along with the did I do enough, could I have done more…I can still smell him in the house, I still hear him whine because he wants a treat or some attention only to turn around and realize he’s not here anymore. I love you and miss you bubs, home feels incomplete without you here. I truly hope there is something after and that I get to see you again, hope you are there waiting for me to fill my heart once again. Rest in peace baby boy, papa loves you , be good boy baby ❤️ by @todayunknown

Killdeer when a predator approaches a nest or chicks, the parent will drag its wings and tail on the ground, loudly acting as though it is injured and defenseless. Once the predator is lured a safe distance away from the vulnerable area, the parent abruptly recovers and flies off #killdeer #birding #birdphotography #photographylovers #canonr5 by @todayunknown

California scrub jay are brilliant, mischievous members of the crow family found along the West Coast. Known as master “scatter-hoarders,” they plant thousands of oak trees annually by forgetting where they buried acorns, and have even been known to groom ticks off mule deer #scrubjay #birding #birdphotography #canonr5 #photographylovers by @todayunknown

Purple Sage (Salvia leucophylla): The species name leucophylla means “white leaves,” referencing its light, silvery-gray foliage. Not to be confused with the other kind of salvia by @todayunknown
