Don’t know how to start this one . . . I meet @nascentbeats about 12 years ago in LEP’s studio on 73rd and Halsted, something clicked. Through out the years he’s always been a phone call away. He would come thru the studio to play beats, bring thru artists. He told me about his best friend Doc and brought him thru one day. We again clicked, Doc would give me relationship advice, we’d talk a lot about being a man and good father figures. Did I forget to say he rapped, and had an amazing talent. Nascent would always send beat when Doc was coming thru and Doc would always come out the both and be like “whatchu think Chris gong think!” 😂. He knew Nascent always had a vision for his music, and would always tell him the truth and what to switch up. This one was all Doc! I remember opening the email and hearing the beat the first time, knew it was a go, and the flow was so effortless, the truth flows like that. I will always miss you Doc, miss your ear, you energy, and your love. Long Live Doc! “Don’t Grow Up too Soon” out now by @toddbeee
