Summer hit different this year.

Funny how life can knock the wind out of you completely. Grief, loss, struggle. Yet still turn around and show you how beautiful it all is.

This summer I felt more like myself than I have in a couple years. Joyful. Present. Making memories with intention. Fell in love a little deeper. Felt myself a little extra 💪🏼

I don’t take a single moment or person for granted anymore.

Life is about feeling all of it, the painful parts too, because even those parts are beautiful, and it makes the rest mean something so much more.

What a gift it is to feel it all.

Here's to Summer 2026, getting back to feeling yourself, the core memories I made, and all my favorite people I made them with 🫶

Feeling Grateful (09/20)

We spent the past 6 days in one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. Grateful that we get to continue to explore these kinds of places, and that Paradise still exists. Turns out it’s on the Maraú Peninsula in Southern Bahia, Brazil.

Palm-fringed tropical beaches, deserted islands, and laid back vibes that only can be found in the likes of places accessible by pot-hole ridden dirt roads through coconut groves.

Finally stepping into my surfing era after a decade of mediocre attempts has truly been one of the biggest highlights. At 41, I’m grateful that this body still has the strength, mobility, and endurance to chase these kinds of adventures.

Watching Rafael in his element, soaking up the Brazilian sun, indulging in incredible local food, and taking quiet morning walks on empty beaches before swimming with sea turtles.

Grateful for making new friends (four legged and human) and ending each day with beautiful sunsets. Just us, silence and pure gratitude.
