Prepping + propping. This is what we get up to the day before your shoot. @eva by @todostudio__
How do you capture scent through a screen? That was our challenge when @thisisgentlehabits approached us to create a campaign for their latest product range: Ritual Room and Linen Spray. They already had a beautiful location locked in, so our job was to imagine the brand world within it. Kind of a dream brief, really! We knew we wanted to tell a story of a perfect holiday escape through a series of horizontal videos with a loose narrative, capturing the feeling of slowing down through a cinematic lens. We wanted it to feel atmospheric, relaxed (but a little bit luxurious) and grounded in the coast. Our modular approach to content meant we were looking to capture a suite of assets that could flex across a number of different outputs, and be repurposed for additional outcomes. With the wonderful Chelsea from @posiestudio_ on photo and video we captured soft light, beautiful textures and all the sensory details that imprint a perfect beach holiday in your memory. A tight and detailed shot list, a comprehensive mood board, a heavenly team and trusting client made this day run exactly how we imagined it! Except for maybe the wind and the rain but hey, you can’t control it all. by @todostudio__
An ode to the Midnight dress @kowtowclothing A floral shadow, captured in silhouette. Through cyanotype, real flowers leave their delicate imprint, preserving a fleeting moment in nature. by @todostudio__

Preorders for my new cookbook Have You Ever Seen a Green Plum in the Sun? Are now open! Preordering this book is the only way I can afford to take it to print. I will keep preorders open until the end of this month (October). The book would make a wonderful gift 🎁 This is another beautiful video my friends Sally and Annie of @todostudio__ worked on to help me launch the preorders. Endlessly grateful for their talent. by @todostudio__
So exciting to see the first video drop from our campaign with @thisisgentlehabits go live for their new product line, Ritual Room & Linen Spray. Shot on location in and around @surfhotel_torquay , we envisioned a perfect summer holiday (…shot in the depths of winter…) to bring the feeling of this range to life. One day, small crew, best vibes! Thanks so much to Gentle Habits and @kimlewis.creative for getting us on board and trusting us to do our thing 🌞 Creative + Production by Todo Studio Shot + graded by the wonderful Chelsea at @posiestudio_ Gorjy girl @staceyconlan Lighting @getagrip.van by @todostudio__
Preorders are now open for my second cookbook, Have You Ever Seen a Green Plum in the Sun? Preordering self published books is the best way you can support them come to life 💛 these books will make great gifts, so you could get one or two or three. Link to purchase is in my bio. About this little video: A few months ago, Annie and Sally of @todostudio__ came up to Castlemaine when Jessie @lowproductivity and I were shooting some cookbook stuff. They captured some lovely footage and made this cute video to help me promote the launch. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and I prepared food on the back of a Ute to set up a table in Bills garden (thanks Bill, who doesn’t have instagram). This all has me reflecting on the long process of creating this book, and the contrast in experience to making my first. The first book, whilst shot at lunches with my friends, was made pretty much exclusively by me. This time it involves so much more collaboration and it’s been so nourishing to get to realise a vision for something with the help and support of various people doing what they do best and being generous enough to share their talents with me. Making things with people IS the stuff! It feels so nice 🩵 by @todostudio__

A few favourite moments from a recent project with our client @basisbuilders , capturing the details of this 1920s heritage listed home in Emerald. We’ve both been inside our fair share of beautiful homes, but this one really took our breath away! The entire house was filled with original 1920s tiles, which Basis has been restoring to their former glory, amongst many other elements. So much care and attention to detail has been given to this project, and it was our job to reflect that. We were just lucky to be there! Captured by @harrisonmossphoto by @todostudio__
