I felt the need to reflect and share my own think piece of how this weekend felt like for me and Bieber’s performance. The energy and feelings of it all.

Where do I even start? This weekend peeled back layers of myself to a very deep emotional state. A young Tony that fought against some ugly, weird, and cold moments growing up.

During Justin’s “Cry Me A River” duet with his 12-year-old self, it triggered a harder reflection for me.

This part of the performance felt like it was his healing process and he was sharing it with the entire world. Through all his mistakes, the ups and the downs. This moment felt like he finally took control of his past and made peace with it.

All that being said, this weekend showed me how much my life has really changed since I was young.

It finally hit me.

I have all the forms of love I’ve been searching for. A partner who never stops loving me no matter how burdened and buried I am in my own emotions. Friends who pay attention to the little things and allow me to free myself.
Young Tony in the purple zips, Bieber swoosh, and fohawk era. No matter how lost, how anxious, how confused. I have come a long way to seek out the feelings and moments I once begged to have.

Something Justin faced, but with the entire world watching. I couldn’t be happier for him, my childhood GOAT, and I am more than proud of how far I’ve come. My message is the same.
