This is my place.
This is your place.
This is our place.

Bass Coast is that place
where darkness meets light,
and we carry that light forward.

We turn the bass up to quiet the noise.
We dance.
We laugh.
We let the music fill the spaces
that words can’t reach.

Here, the air hums with something unspoken.
We collect the moments that give us strength
a laugh between sets,
a hug that grounds you,
a hand in yours, reminding us we can keep going.

This place has brought me my kin,
my co-conspirators in dreaming big,
my friends who see the real me
the kind you keep close and never let go.

And Willow, our shining light she reminds us what it means to be here,
fully, fiercely, together.

Here, mischief and grief sit side by side.
Hope weaves itself into our next creation.

Episode 28. A Story of Love and Strength Through Life’s Fragility with Tohni Blower

In this powerful episode, Tohni Bower shares the story of her deep, cosmic connection with her partner, Willow. In 2021, Willow suffered a cardiac episode. One year later, tragedy struck again when a sudden cardiac arrest left her in a coma for weeks. Tohni was with Willow when it happened, along with a doctor who miraculously kept Willow alive until paramedics arrived.

What followed was a time of immense uncertainty, but also profound community support. People from around the world came together, offering prayers, financial aid, meals, and rides, rallying behind Willow, Tohni, and their families. Through it all, Tohni navigated heartbreak, resilience, and the deep lessons this experience brought into her life.

Join us as Tohni reflects on the challenges, the cosmic love she holds for Willow, and the ways this experience has transformed her forever.

Home just in time for Valentine’s Day with the light of my life! 🕯️

Here are some lil moments over the last couple years since her cardiac arrest. Willow’s favourite thing is to make us “giggle our tiny little brains out” and my goodness she’s a master at that! I’ve never been more proud of anyone in this lifetime… just wow! What she’s accomplished and moved through in such a short time with constant improvement continues to blow me away.

Her sweetness, cuteness and silly witty words n goofballness brings so much joy into my world. Glad we get to laugh our way through the best and hardest times. I love celebrating you Willow - everyday!

We eat delicious food, drink matchas, cuddle up in bed, fart around, go on adventures and dance for no reason. The simple times of life are the best with youuuu! I’m at peace by your side… No one has ever made me feel safe and complete as you do my forever Willow love ♾️ by @tohnibee

The future is Indigenous 🪶 …there’s really no way forward without looking back and listening to the people who still have their Native connection to our planet. Deeply grateful for all my incredible Indigenous friends/family. I envision and believe in a future here on earth because of the existence of these beautiful souls.💫

These photos were taken on set for the Snotty Nose Rez Kids music video “NO DOGS ALLOWED”. 🐕 My cousin @kaayla_whachell was the Cinematographer for the video... and I didn’t know until I was on set! Thank you to @snottynoserezkids for the best experience, leading the way and shining so bright. Their huge hearts and creativity ripples out making massive change. They are inspirational af. I am so in awe of their music, the messages and of course the fashionnnn hunnyyyy!👌🏼 Thank you for the invitation to be involved and providing a beyond expectation photo-booth experience as well. Sometimes the moments are so beautiful you just have to grab a camera and photograph the special people in your life. This was one of those magical moments ~ 3 roses unfolding petals of endless beauty; 3 uniquely deep souls that found each other; 3 of the most important women in my life. Their softness and also their strength radiating right through the lens...🕯✨ Holding and creating safe spaces for/with friends is what keeps me alive.
