I still remember the day my bride @doctormoyoo looked at me and said, “Lase, you’re making my wedding dress.” 🤍

I smiled, but deep down I was nervous.

Not because I lacked the skills, but because I knew what a wedding dress meant. It’s the dress she’ll look back on years from now. The dress she’ll show her children one day. It’s the dress she’ll wear on one of the biggest days of her life. That’s a different kind of responsibility.

Thankfully, she came with a clear vision. We sat down, talked through every detail, and I sketched exactly what she had in mind.

Then the real work began.

Somewhere along the way, the dress started taking on a life of its own. We’d make a small adjustment here, add a little detail there, and somehow it just kept getting better. Some of my favourite parts of the gown weren’t even in the original sketch, they happened while we were creating it.

Looking at the finished dress, I couldn’t help but smile.

Not because it was perfect, but because it reminded me that every journey has a first step.

This was my first bridal gown.
The first bride to trust JB Designs with one of the biggest days of her life.

And honestly, I’ll never forget that.

Before anything else, I have to thank God for making this possible. I’m grateful that this is just the beginning.

To my beautiful bride, thank you for believing in me before there was a bridal portfolio to show. Thank you for trusting my hands, my ideas, and my heart. That kind of trust is something I’ll never take lightly.

Today, I’m sharing not just the gown, but her words. Hearing her talk about her experience reminds me why I chose this path in the first place.

This dress will always remind me where it all began. And if this is the beginning, I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

Here’s to many more JB Brides, many more beautiful love stories, and many more gowns made with grace, intention, and love. 🤍
