Today's the last day for What Things Don't, featuring @taiyinho and @theo_mullenz at @transmitternyc, and in a rare guest appearance I'll be sitting the gallery today. There will be a closing from 3–6, but stop in anytime and I'll explain how Philly is better and you're all making a terrible mistake. by @tom.marquet

I'm at @partnersandson today with our new show, Apologia, featuring @indietony @jenjonesjones and @jaschechter. Tomorrow I'll be sitting the gallery at @transmitternyc for the final day of a show I put together there, What Things Don't, featuring @taiyinho and @theo_mullenz. In the middle of installing the show here in Philly I learned that Tom Spurgeon had passed away, which, I didn't know him, but between The Comics Journal and Comics Reporter, he shaped a lot of how I think about comics today (even in ways I only learned about recently, like giving Bart Beatty the Eurocomics for Beginners column in TCJ). Stop in today or tomorrow and I'll tell you the story about him reviewing a mini comic of mine by describing it as like another cartoonist, mainly known for his visual invention, but "minus the visual interest". To be clear, he wasn't wrong. by @tom.marquet

Sitting Smudge today at @partnersandson, while What Things Don't is up @transmitternyc, reading Loiterers by @bossesimon, a beautifully drawn little story of kids with time on their hands. #smudge #whatthingsdont by @tom.marquet

I managed not to take a single picture after people started showing up, but thanks to everyone who came out for the opening of What Things Don't, at @transmitternyc last night. The gallery is open today from 1–6 to check out the great work of @taiyinho and @theo_mullenz! If you're in Philly, it's open studios in south philly today, but also @partnersandson is open until 6, with Smudge, featuring @annaoneu @kylekogut @jackiemock @katieoooowynne and @nikkiarendt. If you're not in either of these cities, go to whichever is closer. #whatthingsdont #smudge by @tom.marquet

Sitting @partnersandson, reading the amazing Ressac by Choi Juhyun and L.L. de Mars, and working on my dumb little diagram for the show I'm putting together for @transmitternyc, featuring @taiyinho and @theo_mullenz. We're open until five today if you want to check out some oddly moving and structurally ingenious comics, and come by Transmitter this Friday, 6–9 to see two artists whose work responds to found objects to create elegant but uncanny arrangements. #ressac #choijuhyun #lldemars #whatthingsdont by @tom.marquet
