The First People I Met on My Journey from Kazakhstan to Nepal

The first people I met on this journey were during my very first hike upp to Big Almaty Lake in Kazakhstan. That’s where I crossed paths with two amazing travelers, and from that moment on, we stuck together for an adventure around the Almaty region.

We each hiked through the hills and valleys, explored the wild beauty of southern Kazakhstan, even slept with wolfs around us 🐺🐺🐺, and exchanged stories from our very different backgrounds. Both of them have rich travel experiences behind them, and spending time with them felt both inspiring and easy.

It turned into an unforgettable chapter of the trip. filled with laughter, smiles, shared meals, and that rare kind of connection that only seems to happen on the road. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the journey.

November 2024.
When I flew back to France, I got to fly over Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, and I saw my whole trip from the plane window with fresh snow on those beautiful mountains. What an amazing way to say goodbye to this amazing part of the world 😍

video - my very first flight.

Came to Nepal planning to stay 15 days for my paragliding license, ended up staying a whole month. Some places just grab your heart and don't let go.

Days filled with flights, music, mountains, and people who felt like family. It truly felt like living in the clouds, between the earth and the sky, time just disappeared.

Massive thanks to the legend Babu and all his pilots for creating a place that feels like a dream.
