🚁 Helicopter Pilot 🌺 // 🎓 Chiropractor // ⛷️ Ski & Snowboard Instructor #KailashAdventure

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Golden hour on the ramp. 🌅
The helicopters are resting. The day finally gets quiet.
A few years ago, I was a chiropractor. Before that, a ski instructor in Chamonix.
Today, I teach others to fly. And this is my favorite moment of the day.
Changing your life isn’t one big leap. It’s days like this, one after another. 🚁. #helicopter #pilotlife #cfi #flightinstructor #robinsonr22 taken in Mauna Loa Helicopters by @tom_mychx

One year. More than 200 hours. 5 certificates.
From the mountains of Chamonix to the skies of Hawai’i — this year I traded my office and ski slopes for rotor blades, and completed the professional helicopter pilot program.
This is step one of a long road toward the dream, and I’m not taking it for granted.
Of course, none of this was a solo flight. Literally — you need an instructor, or several, for that too. Thank you all for sharing this adventure with me. 🙏 taken in Mauna Loa Helicopters by @tom_mychx

Just passed my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) checkride. 🎉
3 certificates down, two more to go — because apparently becoming a helicopter flight instructor wasn't enough, now I have to do it in the clouds too. 😊
Seven weeks to tackle IFR and CFII.
Kona to the clouds. Let's go. 🌺🚁☁️ taken in Mauna Loa Helicopters by @tom_mychx

I'm thrilled to announce that I've officially received my Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certificate! 🚁

For those keeping score at home: yes, I did go from telling people their backs were out of alignment… to flying machines that have no business staying in the air. Lateral career move? Absolutely. Regrets? Zero.

This milestone represents hundreds of hours over the stunning skies of Hawaii — navigating wind, weather, and the occasional existential question of "why does this thing want to spin the wrong way?"

Helicopters demand a rare combination of precision, humility, and the ability to rub your head and pat your stomach simultaneously. Every flight is a lesson. Every autorotation is a reminder that gravity has opinions.

None of this happens without exceptional instructors and mentors. Mine pushed me to think deeper, fly cleaner, and never settle for "good enough" when "nailed it" was still on the table. The best CFIs don't just teach you to fly — they teach you how to keep learning long after the lesson ends.
I'm proud to keep growing as a student pilot at Mauna Loa Helicopters.

To everyone who believed in this journey — mahalo. The view from up here makes it all worth it. 🌋

🙏 This one means a lot. PPL(H) achieved => private helicopter pilot! I left my job, sold my practice, and put everything on the line to live my dream. Today is proof that it was the right decision. Huge thanks to everyone who supported me along the way (my girlfriend, family/friends, my instructor, my mentors and the school💙🚁 Next step ? Commercial license and instructor certification ! #pilot #helicopter #helicopterpilot #hawaii #pplh #privatepilot taken in Mauna Loa Helicopters by @tom_mychx

✨ New chapter unlocked ✨
From zero to hero… well, pilot 😅🚁
They said start small — I said ok, helicopter it is 😂 (well it’s not my first book…)

Page 1: Learn to hover.
Page 2: Don’t crash 😎
Page 3: Live the dream 🌍✨

Because every pilot knows…
the best way is up 🚀
Who needs a comfort zone when you have a rotor? 🚁💨

Dream big. Fly higher. Laugh louder. 💭✨ #pilot #helicopter #pvt #Hawaii #helicopterpilot #dream taken in Mauna Loa Helicopters by @tom_mychx

🚁💥 What a week!
Yesterday: Passed my written exam for the Private Helicopter Licence ✅✏️
Today: Planning my first solo cross-country flight… which is basically “me, a helicopter, and a chart trying to agree on where we’re going” 🗺️😂

From ground school to the skies — the dream is starting to take off (literally). Next stop: the horizon! 🌤️✨

🌀 From adjusting spines to flying solo — all it took was one impulsive dream (and a lot of paperwork).

For 8 years, I was a chiropractor, working in four different clinics — one I co-built, one I created.
In the winters, I juggled between teaching skiing & snowboarding, ski instructor trainings, and chiropractic seminars.
But something was missing.

One day, while daydreaming on a ski lift, my buddy @boby_pilot flew overhead in his Astar (aka helicopter), and… BOOM 💥
My childhood dream came rushing back at full speed.

Three weeks later, I had a plan.
Two months later, I had a school.
One year later, I had a plane ticket.
And now, here I am — alone in a helicopter for the first time, on the other side of the world, chasing my dream to become a professional pilot with @maunaloahelicopters 🚁

Let the adventure begin. ✨
Thank you to my family and my partner Juliette 😘 Thank you to my instructor @lance_2010 and the others for helping me make it real 🥰🙏
