Friday Feature! Meet @tom_relling “Songwriter and guitar player Tom Relling has been an active presence in the Bay Area music scene for over a decade, and has released dozens of records and has played several hundred shows. Since landing in Santa Rosa in 2019, Tom can be found performing his own style of freewheeling rock n’ roll all over the Bay Area with the Tom Relling Band. He is a Libra and prefers Gibson guitars.” 🎶Upcoming Shows🎶 10/10 @elephantintheroompub in Healdsburg 10/16 @kilowatt_bar_sf San Fransico Questions: •Top 3 Artists/Bands that inspire you? Prince Beatles Neil Young •What genre would you put yourself in? I love all kinds of music but I am a born rocker. •What has been one of your favorite venues or places you have performed in Sonoma County/Bay Area? My favorite venue to play recently in Sonoma County is Horse & Plow in Sebastopol. It is a lovely outdoor stage under a big oak tree. The staff there are true music lovers and are very kind and supportive. @horseandplow • You have a new single coming out on 10/9. What can you tell us about it? My new single is called “Yeah (I Love You)” and it is a fun, uptempo rock number that features Ian Romano on the drums, someone whose work I greatly admire. Shaky Records pressed a run of 7” vinyls which will be available online and on the merch table . I’ll also have a music video and live in-studio video coming out to support the new release, plus a few special local shows in October - 10/10 at Elephant in the Room in Healdsburg, then 10/16 at Kilowatt in SF. •If you’re not playing music what are you usually up to? I’m a family man, I like to spend time with my girls when I’m not working. I love being outside. The Fun Questions… •If you had to pick a song title that best describes you; what would it be? “Kick Out the Jams” •Favorite fictional band or musical artist? Gotta be Spinal Tap for me •If you could be your favorite cartoon character who would you be? Patrick Star by @tom_relling
