I want to first off start by saying thank you to the teachers who helped with countless hours of hard work and late nights. It’s been almost a month since I’ve been home before 8pm. Working to make the best I can for my very first art show. Thank you to those who showed up and contributed to my interactive artwork. And a most special thank you to Dept chair, Art teacher, and loving parent Mr.Jarc for being an inspiring, loving, and supporting partner through my journey always helping and finding new ways to work around problems. And thank you to my loving mother Mrs.Jarc for always supporting me.

I’m incredibly grateful and honored to be part of the Saint Ignatius MAX Art Show this year, with four of my pieces selected for exhibition. It’s an amazing feeling to see my work displayed alongside so many talented artists, and I’m deeply humbled by the recognition. One of the most unforgettable moments was receiving a special shout-out from one of the judges, who praised one of my pieces for its creativity and impact. That encouragement means the world to me. I’ll be sharing some photos of that particular piece—it’s one I poured a lot of thought and heart into, and I’m so proud to see it resonate with others.

This piece is one of the most meaningful I’ve ever created—a cancer awareness installation built from hundreds of small ribbons, each one representing a person who has been affected by cancer. Together, they form one large ribbon, symbolizing unity, remembrance, and strength in the face of such a difficult battle. Every name written on those ribbons carries a story, a loved one, a fight—and I wanted to create something that honors all of that. It was incredibly humbling to have this piece recognized with a special shout-out from one of the judges at the MAX Art Show. I’m beyond grateful that it resonated with others and could stand as a tribute to the people behind the names. taken in Saint Ignatius High School by @tomas.jarc
