this game is hard and every good shot deserves a cheer by @tomasimoto

Ocean view, $0 green fee, no tee time required, excellent pace of play and room for a gallery. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This little beach hole was fun, social and exceeded our expectations. Which can be said for all the golf we played in PEI. ⛳️🦞🌊♥️ by @tomasimoto

The OG players @ Dentonia know about the mats on the course.

You used to find the 16th tee box littered with bottle caps from the brutal mat you had to hit off. The tee boxes that get the most use recover the slowest and the only solution is to put a mat down.

Luckily they’ve been replaced since but I one point the bottle cap was the only solution. Until the city of Toronto upgraded a bunch of tee boxes.

The usual Dentonia experience went as follows. Finish the front 9, grab a drink behind the fence from the bev cart on 10 and use your old bottle cap for the tee shot on 11 & 16.

For over 120 years the @rbccanadianopen has been host to the greatest golfers to have ever played the game.

It’s been hosted at courses all over the nation and has now found its home once again @tpc_toronto from shine 10-14th.

It’s the best ticket in town for anyone who loves golf. Walk the grounds, explore the vendors and watch some of the greatest players in the game.

Thank you @thegolfcanada for the opportunity to promote such an awesome event!

This guy can’t lock in for anything except golf. The grind never stops.

To Pin or not to Pin? That is the question.

Have you ever had a heart breaking lip-out? Maybe it’s because you gave it a little too much power.

I’m the type of guy to always putt with the pin out. Some people can’t stand it.

You know it wasn’t long ago that you HAD to putt with the pin out. Or it was a penalty.

Who remembers writing journals on Monday morning in school?

This past weekend I had the privilege of being invited in my first golf trip. It was an experience unlike any other. So much golf, great chatter and experiences. With some of the coolest golfers around.

Each person had their own story to tell and expression of love for the game of golf.

Thank you again to @3fromtheteegolf & @golfvancouverisland for the epic experience.

Many thanks for the generosity:

Call it engineering or an act of god.

Augusta National has many secrets to keep the course looking prestine. None other is greater than what goes on below the grass. From moving media in and out to controlling the nature. Under the ground is almost as busy as the patrons walking the grounds at the Masters.

For over 24 years, Bruce, Dori, Tomas and Luisa have had the privilege to call Crestwood Golf Club home. It has been a place to learn, grow and create lasting family memories. After years of dedication, the Grants have decided to pass on the responsibility to a local member of the community. Matt Fair, a long time member of Crestwood, his wife Ashley and their family will now be greeting you at the Club House.

As a family, we are proud to have built a local space where beginner golfers could feel comfortable to develop a new passion, families could bring their children to learn a new sport, and experienced golfers could be humbled by our beautiful and challenging course.

At this time, we would like to thank all the Crestwood staff, present and past for working with us for so many years. A special thank you to Gord Pollock who has been at Crestwood for over 15 years. He lead in keeping the course in as best shape as the weather would allow and worked tirelessly maintaining all the equipment in running order. Without his encouragement and persistence, our inventory of Power Carts would not have grown from 6 to the present count of 30.

We would also like to thank all the members who supported us throughout the years and spread the word to the public that our course was an excellent place to golf. In addition, we appreciate the many leagues and charity organizations from the community that called Crestwood their home course and allowed us on a weekly basis to provide them the space to play golf. Without the support of our community, events like our steak night socials would never have been so successful.

While saying goodbye has been one of the hardest decisions we have had to make as a family, we move forward with immense pride in how far Crestwood has come. We now turn over the course to another dedicated family that will maintain the values and spirit of Crestwood Golf Course.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Crestwood with clubs in hand and ready to enjoy a round.

Sincerely and Good Golfing to all,
Bruce, Dori, Tomas and Luisa Grant by @tomasimoto

Found an old photo album today. ⬇️

Ok I confess. These are from like 2001 but here’s what it was like.

- The first tee box wasn’t raised
- The third hole had a bunker
- Second tee was behind the first green
- 8th tee didn’t exist
- WE ONLY HAD 4 carts
- Scott was Junior Club Champion
- You could carry your drive over the tree on 9

What else do you remember? by @tomasimoto

Remember how your protractor would always go missing? Really needed it now ⬇️

The 18th at TPC Sawgrass is the ultimate final exam for the best players in the world.
But it’s not their swing that fails them, its basic Geometry.
Most golfers try to stand “square” to the tee box. Pete Dye knew this. By angling the tee blocks just 10 degrees toward the water, he triggers Alignment Bias.

Your brain thinks you’re aimed at the fairway, but your feet are aiming at the bottom of the water.
