In the fields with @gideonjuggles — the new official Juggler of #TomatoWellness and @usatomatoes! 🙌

This field is still about a week out from being red ripe, but we had fun playing in the field and explaining how quickly these tomatoes will be harvested once they’re ready and within hours canned or jarred, and ending up in your cupboard — or on your favorite pizza or pasta at restaurants you love!

Seeing where your food comes from changes how you see what’s on your plate. 🍅 @lexasnoms experienced that firsthand during the @cultivateca tour of the tomato harvest and a nearby cannery @pacificcoastproducers1971, where we joined to share some tomato insight. Her takeaway? Life changing. We wish everyone could see the care, hard work and people behind their food.

Ahead of National Farmers Day, we’re sharing a first look at Field to Sealed, a new campaign celebrating American tomato products—and the people behind them.

We’re starting where every great tomato story begins: in the field, with multigenerational American family farmers growing tomatoes the right way, right here. 96% of the tomato products grown in the USA come from California, and that’s 1/3 of the total grown in the world!

Chefs and restaurant owners deserve to know where their ingredients come from, that they’re getting what’s promised, and who they can trust to grow and process their food. We’re bringing those connections into focus, along with the flavor, color and consistency their kitchens rely on.

We asked some pizza legends that question at #PizzaExpo in Las Vegas several years ago. They were all for it—and they could already see where pizza was headed.

Now, with Detroit-style pizza continuing to grow in popularity, more people are discovering the joy of sauce on top. Funny how something as old as pizza can still feel like the next big thing.
