Director’s Cut for this @nikesb “Behind The Design” with @futuradosmil and @erickoston up in Portland, and it felt like things came full circle in the best way. The SB park was where i did my first “real” shoot back in like 2012 (?) with @graysonpatten and @cailaburke, and that day pretty much cracked things open for me.

We wrapped this one with so much footage (and way too many amazing @christianlanzastudio photos), and looking back, I just wanted to cut something that actually felt like the day. Fun, chaotic, a little all over the place as opposed to the storytelling/interview-driven deliverable; and here we are. 🫵

Grateful for my @recess.studios and @valentine.global family for making it happen. This one was so fun.

Two years ago, @ayybomusic dropped “Drench” with Preme. It felt like a fun title to mess around with literally and conceptually. Didn’t expect it (I did) to lead to a full underwater set, but Aaron was down so here we are. So @alec picked up underwater housing and we ended up “DJing” in @mrdahan’s pool. No real plan beyond that and no scuba cert (yet). First underwater shoot for me. Probs his first underwater set? And for the cover, figured a CD felt funnier than some serious vinyl-mock vibe idk. Thanks for sacrificing your decks and always being down to try stuff @ayybomusic. 🫵👏 (@funkshway) taken in Los Angeles, California by @tombender
