Thank you to God & everyone who made this possible. I have complete belief in our team, training, culture, standards, and environment. When there is full commitment and full belief, anything is possible.

This was my 11th major final after reaching 10 before and this time, we got it done. My first black belt major title. In the Gi.

To my family, my team, and my students at the academy this is for all of you. Every session, every round, every standard upheld played a part in this moment.

Lastly, the impact of our team is undeniable. Our standards and results are felt locally, nationally, and internationally. The influence we’re having on martial arts and Jiu-Jitsu doesn’t go unnoticed we see it everywhere and that’s something truly special.

Our mentor.
Our leader.
Our friend.

Countless times he chased this moment.
Years of sacrifice. Early mornings. Late nights.
Endless rounds when no one was watching.
Pain endured. Doubt faced. Never compromised.

Not once did he step away.
Not once did he lower the standard.
He carried the weight of leadership while chasing greatness — for himself, and for everyone around him.

Today, it all comes together.

This isn’t just a medal.
It’s proof that persistence wins.
That discipline pays.
That leading by example changes lives.

Black belt world silver medalist, & my fourth World Medal, whilst i may have fell short today, I gave it my all & when it’s all said and done that’s all I can ever ask of myself. Heartbreaks & Highs are part of sport & life but whilst the 99% roll over & give in. I’ll be back to work in the morning. taken in Las Vegas Convention Center by @tombjj
