Yesterday I turned 24 here in Morocco!It was another full on and busy year as always. I turned 23 in Sri Lanka, went to Australia and then Indonesia before coming back to Europe for the first time in 2 years. Bought a motorhome and spent summer driving all over europe before heading to Morocco for the last few months of the year.I feel like I finally have some direction around my photographg and filmmaking after choosing to branch out from surf photography. It's been a really freeing decision that's allowed me to step into so much more creativity. Thanks to everyone who's supported me through that and I am soo excited for what the upcoming year will bring. I really have a good feeling about it.And special thanks to @sander.karsen for these beautiful portraits with a light edit from myself. by @tombradshawmedia

I hosted my second surf photography workshop. This time in Morocco. It was such an amazing day and here are some of my reflections from the dayNumber 1.ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO SET YOUR CREATIVE INTENTIONSFor so long I just did random shit with my camera. And by that I mean nearly 9 years. It was only the last year or so I started actually thinking about what I wanted my work to look like. In a structured kinda way. Doing a visionboard with everyone was great, and it also helped to see clearly what everyone wanted to get from water photography.Number 2.THE OCEAN DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOUR WORKSHOPUnfortunately this one sucks big time. Everything went really well all day. After a full day of theory we headed down to the beach. The waves were a pretty good size for beginners, however there was soooo much current. We got dragged up and down the beach the whole time and making it out to the lineup was tricky. This absolutely sucked and broke my heart. But I guess there was some learning here. The ocean doesn't care about you or what you need. Thats the most beautiful and frustrating part of it. Make the most of when the conditions are best for you. It won't last foreverNumber 3.ITS HARD TO COVER EVERYTHING IN JUST ONE DAYWe spent over 5 hours in the classroom during the day. I planned out so many different sessions ranging from 20 mins to over an hour. It felt like the max people could sit for and not get completely sick of me. (Maybe they did already lol). But even then, some topics felt really rushed and when I do my next one, I will really aim to do a full weekend. It would make it way more chilled and give time for everything. I think it needs 2 days. Number 4.SHARING MY PASSION MAKES ME SOOOOO HAPPYThe ocean has been my happy place for most of my adult life. It gives me so much in so many different ways. And to share that passion with other people really lights me up. I love it so much and even though I get nervous the night before, and doubt myself and my skills sometimes, it is amazing to be able to pass on the things I've learnt. To connect with people over a shared love of capturing an ever changing dynamic environment like the ocean is so beautiful! by @tombradshawmedia
