POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A few years ago, I wasn’t even sure about the path I had been placed on. Last week Wednesday, that same path officially welcomed me into the engineering profession🥹

Reintroducing: Tomilayo Precious Michael
GMNSE | P-COREN | B.Eng. Mining Engineering

An engineer passionate about understanding the earth, solving complex problems, and contributing to industries that shape economies and build nations.

More than the titles, this journey reminds me that grace, resilience, and purpose can carry you further than you imagine🙌🏽

Last week Wednesday, I was formally inducted into the Nigerian Society of Engineers and took the Engineer’s oath administered by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.

Years of studying, field experience, discipline, and growth have led to this moment. What began as uncertainty about the course the University of Jos offered me—and a curiosity about navigating this newly discovered path—has now become a professional responsibility.

To my family, particularly my mother, mentors, lecturers, friends, and everyone who has supported this path—thank you for being part of the story.

And to the young girl who once dreamed of becoming an engineer…
we did it🥹

This is only the beginning. 🥳
