This piece reminds me of the pain women go through in the hands of men thereby letting most women worry so much about tomorrow.

Why worry about tomorrow like it's promised?

Stop worrying about tomorrow for
every Saint has a past and every Sinner has a future.
Whatever comes let it come and whatever goes let it go.

But the lesson is we don't have to live like tomorrow is promised and we don't have to worry like tomorrow isn't going to be better.

After everything it's only a time

I have been working on a series with a research on the emphasis of kinky hair known as #AFRO hairstyle, and how it empowers the black race in the society.

Among the black identity so much is accrued to the hairstyle we make, which most of us now overlooked, putting us in a state where now need to start tracing back our roots, race, and identity.

Follow me on this journey as i intend to share more lights on the genesis of black hairstyles and the meaning behind each style.

Do you know your Afro is an History Book & Identity?

Biology calls it evolution, but the ancient africa designed it over years ago where each tight coil forms a perfect air pocket to cool our scalp under the scorching sun.

Its the original crown and the first texture humanity ever knew, a masterpiece of survival that history calls identity.

In the villages before the white men arrived, our hair used to be what tells our story, It wasn't just a style, but a sculpted art that says so much about our culture and heritage.

So when you see an afro understand its a crown because, you are not just looking at hair.
You are looking at resilience that defied gravity.
You are looking at science, spirit, and struggle braided into one.
You are looking at a woman who decided her roots will never be erased again.

I wear my ancestors.
I wear my freedom.
I wear my future.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AS AFRICANS

What's your understanding of 'Kinky' a.k.a 'Afro' hairstyle and the biological genesis of it?

It all originated from Africa many years ago, before the slave trade. The hairstyle used to be a means of identification.

In fact these hairstyles such as 'kólésé', 'ìpáko éledé', 'pàtéwo,' 'koroba', 'suku', and a host of others, used to be what depicts the compound, village, tribe, marital status, age, wealth, and religion.

But today a lot of my fellow blacks have lost our cultural values to civilization, disregarding the traditional ethics of where we all migrated from known as our root.

During the slave trade in the 1600's, the fate of any captured and sold African was that the enslavers will shave their hair to strip them of their identity, while they also forced them to work long hours to hinder them from being able to care for their hair which leads to curly, thick, faded and shabby looks.

Today every black deserves the right to be beautiful, handsome, strong, bold, unique and be treated with love.

So after the abolition of Slave trade in the 1900's, to enable the black Americans get jobs they had to start looking presentable by straightening their hair until activists like Angela Davis, Huey P. Newton, and the Black Panthers stopped straightening their hair as a rejection of white beauty standard and a reclamation of African identity which says "Black is beautiful and I'm not hiding my identity, because the bigger the Afro, the prouder the statement"

The basic premise of this artwork is to exhibit and encourage us to embrace our culture, heritage and figure out our roots.

Never lets racism or criticism put fear of you identifying with your true race, because at the end of the day knowing and connecting with your roots is what set you aside from the rest.

It's just a skin colour and we are one in the sight of God

No matter how deep we think, that won't take away the pain of the unknown.

Think less and enjoy the moment, because when tomorrow comes it will sort itself out.
