Antes de haver cores, texturas ou luz, havia um espaço vazio e uma ideia: criar um lugar onde apetecesse ficar.

Inspirado nos nossos anos entre Estocolmo e o Mediterrâneo, o HŪE junta a simplicidade escandinava ao calor do sul. Tons de areia, madeira, azulejos portugueses e detalhes que contam um pouco da nossa história.

Do betão àquilo que veem hoje, imaginámos cada escolha a pensar em como se iriam sentir aqui. Um lugar para abrandar, encontrar pessoas e sentir-se em casa. 🤍

Before the colours, textures and light, there was an empty shell and an idea: to create somewhere you’d want to stay.

Inspired by our years between Stockholm and the Mediterranean, HŪE brings Scandinavian simplicity together with southern warmth. Sandy tones, wood, Portuguese tiles and details that tell a little of our story.

Conheçam o Tom e o Frank, os fundadores do HŪE.

O HŪE nasceu de uma paixão partilhada pelo café, pelo design e pela vontade de criar um lugar onde apetece estar.

O Tom é polaco e viveu na Suécia e em Espanha antes de chegar a Portugal. Com um percurso em design de interiores, deu forma ao espaço, à identidade visual e à seleção de arte e objetos que encontram no HŪE.

O Frank é sueco e tem vários anos de experiência no mundo dos cafés, tendo gerido dois espaços próprios em Estocolmo. Traz consigo essa experiência e uma paixão pelo café que faz parte do nosso dia a dia.

Juntos, criámos um espaço onde café, comida, vinho e design se encontram. Para uma manhã tranquila, um brunch com amigos ou um copo ao fim do dia que convida a ficar mais um pouco.

Meet Tom and Frank, the founders of HŪE.

HŪE grew from a shared love of coffee, design and creating a place where people want to spend time.

Originally from Poland, Tom lived in Sweden and Spain before settling in Portugal. With a background in interior design, he shaped HŪE’s interior, visual identity and selection of art and objects.

Originally from Sweden, Frank brings years of experience in café life, including running two cafés of his own in Stockholm. His experience and passion for coffee are part of everything we do.

Together, we created a space where coffee, food, wine and design meet. For a quiet morning, brunch with friends or an evening drink that invites you to stay a little longer.

We look forward to welcoming you to HŪE 🤍

Emotional alert 😅

I want to express my huge appreciation for the wonderful people in my life.

To my new friends in Lisbon: I’ve only been here a short while, but you’ve welcomed me, opened your doors, invited me into your groups of friends, listened and supported me. With HŪE, you’ve followed along, shared our posts, come by, brought your friends and cheered us on. You made opening weekend so wonderful. I felt truly cared for.
Moving to a new country and starting a business has been a lot. You’ve made Lisbon feel like home, and HŪE feel like it already has a community around it. I’m so lucky to have met you. Thank you!

To my friends around the world: thank you for staying by my side, even though we’re miles apart. This year has been difficult, but I’ve always known I could rely on you. Sometimes just knowing I can call and feel that familiar comfort and peace means everything. Despite all my moves, we’ve remained as close as ever. I’m so grateful for you.

To my family: you’re always there to hear me cry or laugh. You sometimes question my choices, but I know my safety and happiness are what matter most to you. I love you for it.

One special thank you to someone who helped us create HŪE and, frankly, simply survive. You expected nothing in return. You believed in us and in HŪE. @kanasaleksa , I’ll be forever grateful for your friendship, trust, support and love.

And thank you, @frankmannerstal . We’ve been through a lot these last few months, but we’ve held on to our love and respect for each other. Now we’re beginning this beautiful journey together. Thank you!

I guess what I’m trying to say is:

Life gets messy. Sometimes it’s heartbreaking. Sometimes you doubt everything you’ve done and everything you thought you knew. You come close to giving up, wondering why certain things happened to you.

But however hard this year has been, I’ve been reminded again and again how many wonderful, caring, generous people I have in my life. I was never alone. I was never uncared for. So even when your world feels like it’s falling apart, life feels better when you know you’re loved.

Our first weekend at HŪE was so lovely. Thank you to everyone who came by, brought a friend, stayed for a while, or simply wished us well. Seeing you all here meant so much to us❤️ We truly hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

We’re closed today, and Mondays will be our day to rest. We’ll be back tomorrow and can’t wait to see you again.
