The weather bade me play. For a film, apparently 🎥 #longweekend #labourday #nzmusic #acousticguitar by @tomm.music
Guitar in a cyclone 🌀 Music I’m writing for @sahar_shortfilm 🎬 Directed by @yerakheiri Produced by @leeli.official Watch this space 👀 by @tomm.music
Today I *finally* took the opportunity to test out the acoustics in the pool room 🌊 These are reflections people would pay good money for - just going to waste! Next I’ll be setting up a Logic session with some nice mics to capture it for some lush soundtrack goodness 🎙️ #PoolRoomVibes #RoomAcoustics #MusicProduction #LogicPro #SoundReflections #Bushlife #Auckland by @tomm.music
“If music be the food of love, play on.” 🎶 Save it now!~ Our new playlist is here, curated by @tomm.music. Music for cooking, eating and everything in between: something for everyone, old school to new school. As a Kiwi-based brand, we were really proud to feature amazing New Zealand musicians @tiny_ruins, @milleryulemusic and @dallas_tamaira 🇳🇿 Hit play, get cooking, tuck in. 🍳 Link in bio 🎧 by @tomm.music
Here’s a theme I’ve been developing for a forthcoming film… It’ll gradually build with layers of violins, violas, cellos, double bass, keys… until the feels become too much to handle!!💥Keen to collaborate, @mahuia?! Fellow composer and gear junkie @reubenjelleyman encouraged me to record in this beautiful space, but specifically using speakers 🔊 I feel like the last project I did with @yerakheiri + @leeli.official really inspired me to explore capturing real, acoustic instruments, rather than computer MIDI! 🙏 🎬 Watch this space! by @tomm.music
Love a good gear photo 🎛️ Found a great deal on some decent speaker stands, so decided to pull the trigger! I can finally monitor my mixes without having to crouch down on the floor 🤪 PS also a good excuse to get my @deftones hoody in 🤘 by @tomm.music
New project with director @helenhan85 on a murder thriller 🖤 Very excited to be on this one. Using the Korg Prologue and leaning into a more analogue sound world for the score, kindly lent to me by my friend @reubenjelleyman, the king of gear 🙌 More soon… #filmcomposer #filmscore #analogue #korgprologue by @tomm.music
Another dive into the pool room and its lush acoustics - joined this time by my little helper💃 🎵 Playing Chopin’s Nocturne in C# Minor, inspired by Olafur Arnalds and Alice Sara Ott’s Reminiscence from The Chopin Project. #PoolRoomVibes #RoomAcoustics #MusicProduction #SoundReflections #Bushlife #Auckland by @tomm.music
In a world of digital shite, this is a physical, tangible art piece - something real to own. And it’s the reason I collect: A proper hardback 36-page book, beautifully crafted, with two vinyl records that slide in from the top. @thomyorke @markpritch @warprecords by @tomm.music
One of the first times I visited New Zealand - years before we moved here for good. Funny thing is, the baby wasn’t even ours! It actually belonged to Richard in the background (haha). by @tomm.music

@shokichi_hachi still got your fantastic photos on my website 🫡 📸 More @shokichiart 🎛️ Shouts out to @thomas0838 - your favourite engineer’s favourite engineer! 🔗 My link in bio by @tomm.music
