I don't keep my drafts, so how shocked was I to find this note. It would become a part of my book's title suite. Another thing: I give all my drafts (temporary) titles—it helps me find focus. Apparently, this was "Self-Portrait as Eurydice." So wild. I don't remember this at all. by @tommyeblount

Over the weekend, I got to celebrate one of my beloveds—MATT! Of course I cried, because Matthew Olzmann was one of the first poets to believe in my work before I believed in it myself. To say that I'm friends with one of our greatest living poets is—yes, so what—me bragging. 😂😂😂 @matthewolzmann by @tommyeblount

Morrison: When the strength of people rests on its beauty, when the focus is on how one looks rather than what one is, we are in trouble. by @tommyeblount

In celebration of Isaac Pickell's new poetry collection, THE SMALLEST MISTAKE WE CALL HUMAN, I will be reading at Ann Arbor's Literati Bookstore. This is tomorrow, October 8 at 6:30 PM. It's an extraordinary collection, so come hear Pickell read from it.

Tonight, 6PM at Book Suey, I will be joining Dom Witten in celebrating Scott Beal's new poetry collection, STEGOSAURUS MOON. Scott will be running a workshop, open to all, before the reading, at 4, as well.

See the image for the Hamtramck address and more information.

As a poet-in-residence, I got to tell a young poet about Kundiman, Matthew Olzmann, and Caroline M. Mar today. They were so happy that they hopped. I'm in tears right now. This week has asked a lot of me, but that makes it worth it. Wow. by @tommyeblount
