I’ll be pitching something new at @encounterssff on the Thursday 24th September at the Animation Spotlight: BFI NETWORK event this week!

I’ve been meaning to get this idea off the road for a while, and I was finally able to finish the script for it throughout the summer thanks to the @bfinetwork and @uk_screenskills. This film is far from development but I’m eager to get it started when I can.

Also if anyone is visiting the Encounters Film Festival let me know, I’ll be around! :)

Thank you for watching ‘Welcome to Kwak Studios!’ I made the mistake to start the 30 day countdown before finishing this short film, so August was INCREDIBLY hectic 😭 but I wanted it done for 1st September because that’s when I started posting silly little Kwak shorts :)

I’ll be posting more duck content soon. For now though we have a big project coming this weekend! So look out for that ;) and if you somehow missed our debut film, the film is pinned on the studio’s page/on our YouTube 🦆💥

And if you want a print of the poster, you can buy one on our Kwak store!! Plus post cards and bookmarks :)

Our ARCO screening is now less than a week away, and we've still got some exciting announcements to share!

First up: to celebrate the incredible animation talent within our own BESEA community, we're thrilled to announce that we'll be screening a very special (and delightfully quacky) short ahead of our ARCO community previews in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Liverpool.

Introducing ALL HAIL THE DUCK KING by the incredibly talented Tommy Howlett! 🦆👑

Tommy Howlett is a director and animator based in Bristol, UK. He graduated from the National Film & Television School with his film 'All Hail the Duck King', a story about both the frustrations and the childhood joys of being an artist. Tommy runs Kwak Studios, where all his silly ducks now live, and continues to work as a freelance director and animator.

Be sure to check out Tommy's work at @kwak_studios, and we can't wait to share his short with all of you this Saturday, March 14!

🎟️Limited tickets to our London, Birmingham, Edinburgh & Liverpool screenings and creative workshops are still available.🎟️ Please make sure to book tickets for both the film screening and the creative workshop separately, and reserve your spots now using the links in our bio!

And don't forget, ARCO arrives in cinemas across the UK on March 20! by @tommyhowl

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!

It’s now been a year since ‘All Hail the Duck King’ premiered at the BFI Southbank in London! With the decent run of festivals it got me to travel to new places!! But I’m just proud to have made this in the first place I learnt so much in the process and really discovered what it meant to be an artist in the backdrop of burnout.

Manifesting for a good second year and I know it’s the only thing I kinda post atm so I hope in the near future you can look forward to newer and bigger projects. UNTIL THEN!!
