10 years ago I skipped prom to see @houndmouth. Today, their album Lordy was released into the world which I had the honor of leading creative direction on. I’m so proud of and have so much love for @maltshakemyers and the full HM crew. These guys have quickly turned into family, and to play a small piece of their story… well let’s just say 18 year old me couldn’t have imagined it. We shot all of it at home in Montana, and to have this release timed out in the middle of two @pinecreeklodge shows is nothing short of a miracle. As the leaves change and the crisp autumn air rolls into the mountains, the best @redrocksco show window opens up. For many years now, @therevivalists have made a tradition out of their yearly stop at the rocks. This year, however, was a particularly special one as theier headline shows total rolled into double digits. Ahead of the show and block parties that rounded out the weekend, @therevivalists reached out to us to help them design and brand a newspaper magazine to celebrate the occasion and potentially (👀) kick off a larger series. There’s something romantic about a coffee mug. You spend your slow mornings with it, and for me, a lot of late nights working with it. From the moment the first @daybreak_mag came to life, I’ve been dreaming of a coffee mug to pair with it. Mugs come in all shapes and sizes, but the small, heavy mug that kept me aware of just how often I was headed back to the kitchen for refills was always special to me.
