Deeply honored to be invited by Tomoya Kawamura to compose and perform the music for his original play, “The Sacred Killing of a Friendly Man.” 🎭

The piece explores a powerful question: “What does it mean to maintain humanity under fascism?”
As the first notes of the cello resonated, the space instantly filled with the warmth and radiance of human nature. 🕯️✨

It was such a joy connecting with so many new friends, exchanging insights about how artists live and create in Berlin—this vibrant capital of art. I was also truly grateful for the opportunity to share my art projects, “Cello Meditation” and “The Walking Cello” . 🌹🎻

Some performances stay with you long after the lights go out.

Looking back at this extraordinary piece by @dankujawa during @berlinfashionwe for @studio2retail, I’m still amazed by how movement, fashion and storytelling merged into one powerful experience.

Letters from Chiran
By Tomoya Kawamura and Francesco Procopio/ Concreto Theatre

13.06. 16:00

Sala Studio „Mihai Dimiu”

Eng below

RO

Eng
In his mask theatre storytelling, Tomoya KAWAMURA tells us about the life of ordinary people during the last world war.

Through the eyes of young kamikaze pilots, who were trained in the southern Japanese town of Chiran during World War II – and through the experience of the woman who runs the nearby SHOKUDO (canteen), this show helps us to see how ideology and militarism are always ready to lightly sacrifice ordinary people life. In doing so, Kawamura brings to life a past that seems alarmingly relevant around eighty years later.
