Our third vinyl release welcomes back @tomplacemusic for his second outing on the label.

Lost You sees Tom dive deeper into his trademark blend of electro, acid and club-focused bass pressure. Across three originals, restless grooves and warped synth lines keep things moving. In October I attended a footwork/Juke event at FOLD run by the queer collective @bumpah.ldn & @tropicalwaste. The night was played by some amazing artists including @rp_boo_official, @chezalucina, @thempress._, @bigdopep & more. I danced like I had never danced before; infatuated with how the sampling, speed & Rhythms.

Footwork is stepped in dance culture, born from the streets of Chicago & spearheading a new dance movement in the 1990’s. Due to its roots, I knew I would never be able to replicate the sounds I was hearing - but I decided to write a love letter to the night; creating my interpretation of that sound.

Now the track is getting a release on a fantastic VA on @purple.music__ . Huge love to Bumpah, 160 Unity & the dancers for the inspiration. taken in London, United Kingdom by @tomplacemusic

Tom Place is a genre fluid bass producer whose sound is as can only be described as fun, hard & sexy—a sonic cocktail suited to late-night warehouse sessions. Born in the UK & based in London, Tom began experimenting with music production aged sixteen, with roots in UK dubstep and breaks. His sound has since evolved into a bold, artistic voice that thrives on fusing genres & BPM’s. Tom’s music is a heady collision of breakbeat, techno, electro, and UK bass. His tracks aim to subvert expectations; with an intensity that feels both futuristic and steeped in underground tradition.
