My first solo trip.🎒 Honestly I don’t even remember when the idea of travelling alone hit my mind. I’ve been wanting to go on a trip for so long. But I had to keep postponing over and over as all my friends were busy working and the timings were never right. đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž So one fine day I came across this post by @tentgramtrips about their upcoming package. And I decided. No more waiting. Not this time. I decided to go alone. ✈ I can’t say I was courageous to travel alone from the very beginning. I wasn’t. I was nervous and I enquired about the whole package and about the people coming along. They told me to talk to one of the fellow traveller and that’s how I talked to @_rinu_babu for the first time. đŸ‘Żâ€â™‚ïž And we just connected instantly. And then everything happened so fast. I booked my tickets and before I knew it I was at the the airport waiting for my flight to Delhi and a few excited-yet-nervous heartbeats later, I reached Kashmir. 🧱 I met the most wonderful girls, @_rinu_babu and @reshma_usha ,along with the rest of the amazing team. We had the best five days.🧣 by @tomsyrajan

this book will change your perspective on finding hope.when you first meet maev, this 21-year-old girl from fort kochi who just wants to write
..everything feels so familiar and sweet. but then the leukemia diagnosis hits, and the whole book shifts. it’s terrifying, but tomsy rajan writes about that fear in a way that feels so deeply human. there’s no forced, over-the-top drama. it’s just the quiet, heavy reality of a life interrupting itself, and watching maev move from “why me?” to “how do i live now?” completely broke me in the best way. and can we talk about the journey to kashmir? it didn’t even feel like reading about travel; it felt like breathing in a completely different space. watching her piece herself back together against those landscapes, finding unexpected connections, and realizing that healing isn’t always loud... it was just beautiful. it’s a story about loss and chronic illness, yeah, but more than that, it’s about the people who stay by your side and the quiet choice to look for hope even when everything is falling apart. highly recommend picking this one up for a quiet weekend. The day I got you, everything changed ❀ I still remember bringing you home for the very first time. You didn’t hesitate at all, you came straight into my lap and fell asleep like you had always belonged there. That was the moment I felt something new, my first taste of motherhood, without even realizing it.I thought I was just getting a kitten, but really, I got my whole world. We’ve grown up together in our own way. I learned patience, care, responsibility and you learned how to completely take over my life. Some nights we stayed up together. You playing, me half working, half watching you like you were my whole entertainment. You literally take over my workspace like Sitting on my keyboard, walking across my laptop. And when I come back home late
oh my God. The way you meow like, Where were you? Do you even live here? 😂 like I betrayed you personally. Sometimes you look at me like I’m your entire world
and I swear I don’t think anyone has ever looked at me like that before. Also... thank you for waking me up at 6 a.m. for absolutely no reason, supervising every bathroom trip, and reminding me that my food is apparently our food. There are moments I really wish you could talk.Just so I could know what’s going on in that tiny head of yours
You taught me love in a way nothing else ever did. Happy Birthday, my Ray ❀ My first baby, I love you more by @tomsyrajan
🌌Book Review🌌 Book:- Written In The Stars Author:-@tomsyrajan “Some stories don’t try to impress you with twists or grandeur — they simply sit beside you quietly, hold your hand, and remind you how fragile and beautiful life really is.” Written In The Stars by Tomsy Rajan reads like an intimate conversation about life, fear, and the quiet resilience people discover when everything familiar begins to fall apart. At its heart, this is not just a story about illness — it is a story about identity, emotional survival, and the search for meaning when life suddenly changes course. Maev’s life is introduced with warmth and simplicity before tragedy enters. Her world in Fort Kochi feels lived-in and comforting, filled with ordinary dreams, relationships, and small moments that many readers will recognize from their own lives. Because of that emotional grounding, her diagnosis never feels like a dramatic plot device. It lands with the same confusion and disbelief that real people experience when life interrupts itself without warning. The writing leans into sincerity rather than spectacle, and that works in the book’s favor. There is an honesty in the way grief, fear, and uncertainty are portrayed. The emotional shifts feel gentle instead of exaggerated. Maev’s journey through illness is not written as a heroic transformation overnight; instead, it unfolds gradually through reflection, loneliness, moments of tenderness, and the difficult process of accepting vulnerability. The Kashmir portions of the novel add emotional and visual depth to the story. They create a contrast between internal pain and external beauty, allowing the narrative to breathe beyond hospital rooms and despair. The setting becomes more than scenery — it mirrors Maev’s search for clarity and peace. Some of the book’s most touching moments emerge from this phase of self-discovery. This is a heartfelt debut that chooses emotional honesty over melodrama, and because of that, it feels genuine. Tender, reflective, and quietly moving, Written in the Stars leaves behind the kind of emotional ache that comes from recognizing pieces of real life within fiction. Must read♄♄ by @tomsyrajan

📕~ Written in the stars ✍~ @tomsyrajan đŸȘ»~ @indie_press ⭐~ 5/5 Review: đŸ’«Some stories don’t rely on twists or heavy drama to leave an impact , Written in the Stars quietly does it through emotion, vulnerability, and honesty. The book follows Maev, a young woman whose ordinary dreams suddenly collide with the reality of a life-changing diagnosis. What makes the story touching is not just the illness itself, but the way it explores fear, hope, love, and the slow process of accepting uncertainty. đŸ’«The journey from Fort Kochi to Kashmir feels deeply symbolic — almost like Maev is trying to rediscover herself beyond the limits of her illness. The writing carries a soft emotional warmth, especially in the moments centered around family, friendship, and the small human connections that help people survive difficult times. đŸ’«What stayed with me most was how the story doesn’t try to romanticize pain. Instead, it focuses on healing, emotional resilience, and finding meaning even when life changes unexpectedly. Maev’s character feels relatable in her confusion, strength, and quiet courage. đŸ’«Written in the Stars is a tender, comforting read that reminds you how fragile life is — but also how powerful hope and love can be when everything else feels uncertain. #writteninthestars #bookreview #novel #indiepress #bookishfeatures by @tomsyrajan
