Aanstaande zaterdag staan we in @simplonnl in Groningen.

https://open.spotify.com/album/1m5AUTJT1WX6f0FjzCWkTc?si=wY1rUShlRjmcnWjcjLIhHQ

Groetjes,
Tim by @tomveltiennn

It’s hard to describe the feeling of meeting someone on the other side of the world who cares about music just as deeply, just as blindly, as you do. I felt this several times last month, and I’m very grateful for it. Music truly is a universal language.

Together with my good friends @tomveltiennn and @gijsvandooren, I had the pleasure of traveling all the way to Tokyo to record a new album and shoot a documentary. A dream come true. We scavenged jazz clubs and bars in search of the best musicians we could find to collaborate with and we succeeded. Two days ago we finished recording the album that will be released by the end of this summer.

We didn’t just meet great musicians, we made friends for life. We want to thank everyone who made this month an unforgettable musical adventure. We’ll be back for a tour, for sure.

Special thanks to @noflikbeats & @showyou__ @tomsnoijink @dontakurecords ♥️

Very special thanks to @mabanuainsta. Even though we had never met, he welcomed us with such generosity and kindness. He guided us without hesitation, expecting nothing in return, and even pointed us toward Junpei, putting our journey before his own. That kind of selflessness left a deep impression on me. I’m truly grateful, and I won’t forget it.

New album alert! Last summer Tom and I came together and started working on something we both wanted to do for a while; write a duo album for sax and guitar. We had no clue of what the end result was going to sound like, and what message we wanted to spread with our music. After a lot of writing sessions, jams and improvisations we are proud to present Superordinate, a mild protest album about the unpolished, the raw. In an era of social media, artificial intelligence, and the constant quest for perfection, we wanted to record an album where mistakes happen, risks are being taken and new paths are being discovered.

Our single ‘Highlands’ releases next Friday, 14th of March. Full album out on 28th of March, released by @zennezrecords Live shows will be announced soon! Photo credits by @nicholasodonnell taken in Brixton, South London by @tomveltiennn
