Elevated my stash from the ground this weekend… and yet these new levels of organization won’t stop me from losing exactly what I’m looking for 🤦🏼‍♂️🤓📚🤘🏻 by @tonealone

Call me Jean Claude Dam Family 🍻 We all had to say goodbye to someone… Our cousin, brother, father, son. It wasn’t easy but we had each other to make it a little easier 🥲@adam.rauch.90 brought us all together one last time and we made it a good hang 😎 One for the books 🫡 taken in Lincoln City, Oregon by @tonealone

I’ve been sitting on this news for a week, as I didn’t feel like it was my place to make it public…
I grew up knowing Sam Kieth as Sam Jr. my dad’s cousin who had the coolest job in the world drawing and writing comics. He started my real collection on my 9th birthday when he came to my party with 8 brown paper grocery bags full of comics from the era. As a teenager I visited him at his studio and watched him use a sharpie, a crayon, some white out, a dandelion and some dirt to create the stuff he was seeing in his head on paper. The Maxx is a very heavy book that everyone should read, beneath the cool pics of a giant purple super hero (which is all I saw as a kid) is an evergreen story that will resonate with people eternally. Everyone should read it… hit me up and I’ll let you borrow my volumes that came directly from Sam himself. I never got to tell him what I thought about The Maxx because I hadn’t read it as an adult with a certain understanding of how the world works. The last real conversation I had with him was about his then fascination with glass harmonicas, he didn’t have one yet but he’d found a website where you could emulate playing one. Dude was a trailblazer, his style was distinctly his own and there will be no replacing him. 😭🫡 by @tonealone

I may not be at Megacon in Florida with all the homies but we’re still kicking off con season right here in our own backyard. This show grows every year which is awesome because I love it when I don’t have to travel to get my books signed 🤓✍️📚😎🍻 taken in Sacramento Convention Center by @tonealone

In the year 1986 I was 3… and unbeknownst to me at the time, in the month of November, two things were happening that would impact my life in meaningful and long lasting ways. On the 15th, The Beastie Boys released the no-skips all bangers classic Licensed to Ill… and the next day on the 16th my girlfriend was born! Both of these masterpieces are a gift to the world and we are all lucky to have them, but nobody is as lucky as me 🫡😎🍻🎂🎉 by @tonealone
