First, my condolences to the families who lost a loved one to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Second, I'd like to thank my ancestors for enduring such injustices, humiliation, and brutality to ensure that I live a better life than what they could ever have imagined. America is a country of hypocrisy. I guess only some Americans get to have their history documented, their ancestors honored and mourned, yet the ones who get that privilege cry when they're not the center of attention, or when someone points out that the history books they wrote made them look like the bad guy. What a country.

Imagine celebrating Black liberation while policing Black identity. Freedom isn't exclusive. Liberation isn't copyrighted. Blackness isn't a membership club. The same people gatekeeping Juneteenth (FBA) will eat Jamaican jerk chicken, Nigerian jollof, dance to Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Soca, quote Bob Marley, and call it "Black culture." You can't celebrate the global Black diaspora when it's convenient and reject it when it isn't. The ancestors fought chains, not passports. The diaspora has always been stronger together than divided. Pick a lane.

Honoring the legacy of Dr. Huey P. Newton. ✊🏾🖤
Today and every day, we give thanks to the co-founder of the Black Panther Party for teaching us that liberation is an active verb. We are grateful for the blueprint you left behind:
🥞 For the Survival Programs: You fed our children with the Free Breakfast Program and cared for our elders with free medical clinics, proving that we can—and must—take care of our own.
🛡️ For the Protection: You stood tall against brutality and taught a generation not to bow in fear, restoring dignity and strength to the Black community.
📜 For the Vision: The Ten-Point Program remains our compass. You demanded decent housing, true education, and justice when the world wanted silence.
Thank you for your intellect, your courage, and your undying love for the people.
Rest in Power, Dr. Newton. 🕊️

Happy Black History Month! ✊🏾✨

This month is about honoring the giants whose shoulders we stand on, celebrating our resilience, and amplifying our joy. Watching this video, I’m reminded of just how deep our excellence runs and how wide our influence reaches.
But let’s keep it real for a second. We have to stop the division. The conversation between FBA and Pan-African communities has turned into infighting that only slows us down. Whether you are a Foundational Black American or from elsewhere in the Diaspora, our struggles are linked, and our liberation must be too. We have unique histories, yes, but we share a common destiny. Let’s honor our specific lineages while recognizing that we are stronger together. The Diaspora is a family—let’s start acting like it.

One Love. One People.
