Up before sunrise and out chasing a bit of light. The weather was looking pretty ordinary, but then the clouds started to break and the first light came through over the mountains. Standing beside the waterfall watching the valley slowly light up was pretty special.

These are the mornings I’m out there for. Cold, wet, tired and probably wondering why I got out of bed… until you see a scene like this. 🌄💦📸

Some mornings you simply witness… and others you never forget. 🔥 Standing there in the Blue Mountains with my camera in hand, watching the sky erupt into a sea of fire and colour across the valleys and ridgelines, was something truly special. This wasn’t just about taking a photograph, it was about being there, feeling the moment unfold and capturing a scene I’ll carry with me forever. One of the most incredible sunrises I’ve ever witnessed through my lens. 🌄🔥📸

People ask why I drive for hours, hike in the dark, stand in freezing water, or wait endlessly for the perfect light. The answer is simple… because nothing compares to the feeling when everything aligns for just a few fleeting moments. Those moments can’t be bought, staged, or recreated. They have to be earned.
