Yesterday we kicked off the 60th Tenor Viñas International Singing Contest at the inaugural event at the Saló de Cent of the @barcelona_cat . Mr. Salvador Alemany, President of the Fundació del Gran Teatre del Liceu, was in charge of delivering this year's speech, in which he made a brief comparison of the figure of Francesc Viñas and a review of the meaning of the Contest in these six decades. He also wanted to express three wishes: firstly, he wished good luck to the participants who have moved on to the next phase of the Contest; "good luck to the jury in discovering new talents, who will soon be applauded by all the theaters in the world and, obviously, also the @liceu_opera_barcelona " and, finally, he wished that "the future of the Viñas Contest will be as bright as it has been till now".
Finally, @adrianagonzalezgt captivated us all with her wonderful voice, performing several arias from Mozart, Verdi, Puccini and Gounod.

#tenorvinas60 taken in Saló De Cent by @toni_bofill
